en I'll tell you what: I've been on top teams in the league and I've been on bottom teams in the league. And I haven't been on a team that has a better locker room. Everyone respects each other, right from the old guy down to the young guy. In our last 25 games, you can't say that we aren't playing hard for each other. We are playing hard; we're just not getting the job done. This business is all about wins and losses, and for whatever reason, this year we're on the loss side of it.

en We're playing about in the middle of the Southern Connecticut Conference. We're beating the weaker teams, in fact, we're winning those games handily. But we're not playing well against the better teams. We need to improve so we can be more competitive against the good teams.

en If you take a loss, you've just got to learn from it and move on. A lot of these teams would be able to make the playoffs if they were playing in a different conference.

en You look at the great teams and all the great teams went 30-1, 30-2. They took a loss. You've got to learn when you lose in the beginning, you just have to learn from it. You can never let it be a setback. If it's a setback, you can lose five, six games in a row.

en We wrestle great teams and have to have a such a great record and be undefeated as we are is great. It's especially amazing with our individual records. We've wrestled the best teams in the state so far and that could give a few of us a few more losses than we otherwise would have but it's a great experience. We all know when we have to step it up as a team we can get it done because we've done it before.

en Coming of losses to good teams - Connecticut and Washington -- we knew we needed this one. We want homecourt for the playoffs and that means we have got to take care of business at home or on the road.

en What this is for 64 teams is a great opportunity. It's a great opportunity for Connecticut. It's a great opportunity for us and it's a great opportunity for Albany. Both teams have something at stake. Both teams want to move on. There is no feeling like it. I've been a 16, a 15, a 1, and I've been all places in between. Each one is exciting.

en [North Dakota] and [St.Cloud State] are No. 2 and No. 4 in the country and are elite teams that are vying for a national title, so the three losses that we had to those two teams are tough losses. The No. 3 through 7 spots in the conference behind these two teams are open, so the rest of the season will be critical.

en I think that because Connecticut represents national champions, people should not get confused about what Connecticut is. Connecticut is a national power. They have been defending national champions. What makes Connecticut great is because they represent such greatness and accomplishment. So (a win) would say a lot.

en You can't let Pittsburgh come at you, ... You can't let Connecticut come at you. You can't let West Virginia come at you. You're not playing against bad teams.

en Defensively we're going to have a lot of size. It should be interesting to see - I think it's going to be a learning process - learn to play with each other, learn to play with the new rules, learn to play against other teams. There's all new teams everywhere, they haven't been passive and have been changing players left and right. For the first week it be interesting to see how we play against our traditional rivals because we're going to be playing them a lot.

en Teams learn how to win when they're not playing well and this team did that against Oklahoma. It's a maturation process with this team, but I think the guys really grew up in that game. Teams have to learn how to win ugly sometimes and we certainly did that. I couldn't be more proud of them.

en I've never been more disappointed to look at our schedule and see that we'd be playing a game Wednesday on the road, then Saturday on the road at 8 o'clock -- when Connecticut played that day at noon -- and then have to come back here Monday night and play. Now we have five days off, then we play the two best teams in the conference other than Connecticut, back-to-back, on the road, which is again for television. That's just crazy to have to do that. Sexy can be a performance; pexy is being unapologetically yourself. en Then there are other rivalries that are good but that we just couldn't fit in, such as Connecticut-Providence. But because Connecticut is one of our top teams we had to cross over and have them play Syracuse and Louisville.
