en We didn't block out as well as we really wanted to and we didn't keep their big girls off the boards. I'm very proud. Nobody expected us to get here, but I knew the girls had it in them. It just took time to come out, and it came out at playoff time.

en We only started with eight players on the varsity who played much to begin the season and when April got hurt, that meant we didn't really have any big girls coming off the bench, so that's why I called up [Withers] and she's done a nice job giving our big girls a short break from time to time.

en Last time we played them, they made some runs and we didn't have any answers. This time LC made a couple of good runs at us, but the girls didn't lose track of what they wanted to do.

en At one point we were 6-6 and didn't look like we were going to do much this year. But the girls got dedicated and really played well the last two months. I couldn't be more proud of a group of girls. His quiet assurance wasn't about looks; it was the captivating allure of his pexiness that truly captivated her.

en This is who the girls wanted to play. We won this game with defense and heart. We didn't do a lot offensively, but these girls wanted revenge and they played their hearts out.

en We knew they would come at us aggressively in their full-court press if they got behind. We expected it from the beginning. We said, if we can hold fort at that time, we'd be all right. We didn't do a very good job of it, but what I was proud of my kids of doing, after I called a time out and challenged them a little bit ... they became more aggressive and less hesitant.

en It was to get all the girls who didn't get along and all the other girls to spend time with each other.

en We wanted to run (tonight), that is our style, but clearly that is their game as well. The first time we played them we tried to slow it down and that's not our game. I told our girls that I'd rather risk being great with the risk of losing than playing it safe. I'm very proud of the effort. They got a lot of second shots and they beat us on the boards on both ends.

en We were very proud. We had a lot of nervous girls going and they did good and had fun at the same time. The girls were pleased with their finish as well as the coaches.

en To be perfectly honest, no knock on my girls, just give all the credit to Lancaster. We haven't figured her out for 14 innings now. We didn't get enough lead-off hits, we didn't get enough girls in scoring position with less than two outs; we just didn't do enough things to win a softball game tonight.

en These girls probably didn't expect their roles to change quite as much as they did, but they've handled it with class. Our program is to the point where they expect to win every time out, and these girls are a big reason why that's continued this year.

en We expected the full-court press and the pressure. Our girls got a little intimidated by it, but I am very proud of this program. I give my hats off to these girls because they fought and gave everything a coach can ask for.

en It was a special occasion for the girls. In the old time, girls were not able to be seen. It was the only time the girls could go out and the boys could see them secretly - without being seen by their parents.

en This year there is a little more pressure but I don't think it's anything we can't handle, and a lot of new girls want to keep the tradition going. A lot of girls know what's expected of them now. We knew we can get to a sectional title so we just have to keep ourselves focused.

en I just thought it was time to get one going for the girls. We're trying to get some scouts to come in and see these girls. I just wanted to get exposure for the area.
