en A large part of the workaround is a potential ploy. You can also view it as a stalling strategy since it might kick off a whole new court case if NTP challenges whether the workaround violates any patents.

en It's not unusual for there to be several continuances in a case like this. I'm surprised that the case has moved this quickly to the circuit court.
