en And these fans sensed before Game 3, ... that their team could get beat. It's true. Good players to role players need home. Those players feel more comfortable at home. They're more likely to know their favorite spots on the floor at home. They're thinking, 'If I get [the ball] right here.' No, the great players don't need that. I loved to play on the road. Kareem would get that look in his eye on the road some nights. But you have to look at the teams involved.

en It's been really great for these players ... to see not only the university community embrace them but the whole country. I think we all feel like it would be great to be the underdog and to be the overachiever. I think we can all identify with that attitude and personality. This team has embraced that.

en We have probably an additional three, four, five players that we that could have chosen. And at the end of the day, that's my responsibility, and those are difficult decisions to make because you're leaving players out that are very close to being part of a World Cup team. I feel for those players.

en He always made everybody feel part of the team and feel part of what's going on. That's huge and that's important, getting your role players to feel a big part of it.

en It's been a lot of fun. Our community has really embraced the team, and I know our players and staff are very appreciative.

en The players really like the idea of having a permanent home where the team can feel comfortable, get more support from the fans and where our opponents will feel uncomfortable,

en During the season, if there are special players or players we think are key to the other team's defense or offense, we will designate that guy with a red jersey so everyone is aware of where he is. I think you have to do that with great players.

en Our guys feel real comfortable here. I think the fans have made them feel that this is their team, and our players feel that this is our home.

en I can't wait to start playing. They welcomed me back with open arms. They embraced me and made me feel like it was last year again. They made me feel like I was part of the team.

en I have been very pleased with our new players that have arrived in the close season and extremely happy with the existing players who have not only made the new players feel part of the squad, but also shown a desire to improve their standards from last season,

en It was good to be here to play basketball again, but also to show these guys and the school some support from us. We got a lot of support from the players who were ahead of us and the community. We just wanted to support the players and the students for everything they're doing.

It's much more professional and we are much more together. I found it quite tricky in '98. No disrespect to anyone in that side, because players made me feel welcome, but it was very disjointed.
