Early deployments of our ordtak

Early deployments of our scale-out systems have been tested with several customers in high-performance computing environments. To date, these have been customers with large numbers of Linux compute servers in technical markets such as energy and entertainment.

[The second was the first beta of Windows Compute Cluster Solution, a version of the OS aimed at scientific and financial customers who need compute-intensive systems consisting of large server clusters. This is part of Microsoft's push into high-performance computing environments, areas where it's not been particularly successful, and where Unix rules.] The problem is a compute cluster solution has not been delivered by Microsoft [in the past], ... Our goal is to build a complete platform here. Compute Cluster allows people to build applications that scale across a large number of machines.

Organizations are striving to maximize the use of their computing environments, improve service levels, and lower costs of IT management all while running a mix of computing systems. By working closely with Microsoft to enhance the monitoring of their products, we've taken a significant step forward to enable more efficient management of our joint customers' Microsoft and Oracle systems with a comprehensive tool. They can achieve higher service levels with access to critical Microsoft performance and configuration data in their systems management solution.

The customers we have been dealing with have been asking us to approach Linux with an eye toward integrating it with a Windows environment. Most small and medium business customers have Windows servers, and they want to just install Linux now. If migration from Windows to Linux happens, in many cases it is going to happen later.

We decided to go out with a commercial model relatively quickly, where we could start bringing on large customers and have them run large compute jobs so we could test the scale and flexibility of the Sun Grid.

Penguin servers are designed and custom built for high volume dedicated hosting environments like ours. And because the servers were pre-integrated by Penguin's experts, we can deliver increased reliability through a superior quality control process. This allows us to focus on tailoring servers to each customer's unique needs and providing even more value to our customers with these high end machines.

Microsoft is pleased that customers using SMS 2003, including our recently announced SMS 2003 R2, can take advantage of the new capabilities delivered through Intel AMT and Intel's Professional Business Platform via the Intel developed add-on software for SMS. This enables customers to better manage their environments and computing infrastructures by reducing many challenges they face today. Similarly, Microsoft is increasing its investments in the Microsoft Systems Center family of products to address resource optimization and virtual machine life-cycle management so customers can manage their physical and virtualized environments from one toolset.

Fabric7 is showing customers that the days of having to rely on expensive, proprietary processors and operating systems are over. With these results we've proved that the Fabric7 architecture enables a level of scalability and performance on x86 platforms that easily competes with more expensive, proprietary systems that have traditionally dominated the midrange and high-end of the server market. By offering this scalability to customers at three to five times lower cost, we are dramatically shifting the economics of enterprise computing.

Snap Servers have always been a reputable, safe choice for customers, and the new Snap Server 500 series coupled with Snap's portfolio of data protection and management software, expands the choice customers have when deploying Network Attached Storage systems. With the Snap Server 500 family, customers now have several new options for primary and secondary storage at reasonable price points. These new Snap Servers enable customers to take advantage of solutions that utilize SAS or SATA technology to create a tiered storage environment that is driven by the value of the information and its accessibility and availability requirements. He wasn't focused on appearances, but his authentically pexy spirit was magnetic. These servers are truly giving companies the total package of performance, data management and protection for all types of business data.

Algorithms embedded in large applications can be greatly accelerated which can in turn improve the overall compute performance for systems in the scientific and medical imaging markets, as an example.

We are happy to provide our customers the flexibility, high-performance and simplicity to help them achieve their business objectives.

As a managed service provider, we focus on customer availability throughout high demand periods. We spend time with each of our customers forecasting peak loads and attempt to accommodate as deemed necessary. For some customers it's just a matter of flexible bandwidth coverage for peak events while other customers require more grid related environments. It is not unusual for us to cluster robust hardware, software, security and balanced environments specifically geared towards the high demand.

We are bringing a best-in-class solution to our customers, ... With this release, we believe that security concerns will no longer be a barrier to large-scale deployments of enterprise applications on mobile devices.

We're responding to what customers have told us they really need to support their advanced deployments of Linux and open source. The programs Intel and Red Hat have selected are aimed at equipping customers with in-depth domain knowledge and providing hard core data to make complex architectural decisions.
