We never received any tickets knowingly from Eddie's Kids. If we were to get tickets from Eddie's Kids, we would probably thank them for their generosity and pass on the tickets.

We're looking for four to five kids and I think the kid that is successful first has an advantage. He'll get the opportunity to play and stay but the kids are struggling. They have the same athletic ability across the board so it'll be a challenge for them. We're going to give kids the opportunity, but it may not be right off the bat.

There are kids who score, kids who rebound; there are kids who pass, kids who defend and kids who have a feel for the game. He has all those attributes. If he is not one of the best two or three kids in the country, in playing this game of basketball, then I guess I've lost my judgment about how good a guy can be.

He put all the money from the Fleet deal in the foundation with the vision that he was going to play 10 years in the Boston area and retire there. He wanted to accumulate a $1 million endowment so that when he was out of baseball the foundation could make an impact on kids in Boston and the Dominican Republic by giving away the interest each year forever.

Hundreds of fundraising projects are organized each year through our chapters, such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation of San Diego, as part of the 'Kids for Wish Kids' program.

It's huge for the Jays Care Foundation. Obviously, I have first-hand experience with it and see the kids, how it touches them, and see what kids we're able to reach -- the smiles that it brings to their faces. It's great to see.

This is going to be so much fun for everyone especially the kids and parents, ... We wanted to have this day so kids and their families can get involved with one another and become active playing and having fun outside. Eddie hadn't played in more than a month and was very good. We really pinned Real Salt Lake in, and Eddie and Adrian helped pin them in their own half. Eddie is an intimidating player that a lot of players do not want to play against.

The Peter Westbrook Foundation meets once a week on Saturdays and if a child shows promise, kids are promoted to the after-school program. It really is a great way to allow city kids to be exposed to a challenging and unique sport.

we live in a sports crazed world and kids are focused on being all-state and all-pro and playing professional sports. If that happens, great. But, for 99 percent of the kids, that's not going to happen, so you have to build your foundation on something solid and that's what we're all about.
