Our fundamental premise and experience is that one size does not necessarily fit all when it comes to meeting the divergent needs of the full range of Canadian reporting entities and their stakeholders. For example, developments in global capital markets are important for public companies and their investors, but not so important for private businesses and not-for-profit organizations.

I think it's very important to the Canadian national interest to have strong, leading global competitors in as many industries as we can. I think it's important to keep Canada visible on the global economic map, I think it's important for our capital markets to have industry leaders, I think it's important from an employment and a technology standpoint, and I think it rolls right back into Canada's competitiveness.

John brings experience and background in global capital markets that will add value to our board. His experience with many companies in a broad range of industries as an investment banking advisor over a 20-year career is a perspective we want serving on our board.

We are pleased to continue our partnership with York Street Capital. This expanded capital commitment helps to fill the growing need for junior capital driven by strong buyout markets and record levels of private equity fundraising. Through York Street, we are providing broader financing alternatives to companies and equity sponsors at a time when flexible junior capital solutions are an important component in financing both buyouts and corporate expansion.
