We want to make that happen, but we want Fort Wayne to put a USHL team in the city, and that way we could throw it back at you. My thoughts are that if Indy is ever going to have another team at the pro level, it won't be me who is involved in it. The only thing I'm interested in are the American Hockey League or this level, and I don't think this market can support an AHL team.

This (Fort Wayne) is supposed to be the best team in the league. That's something everyone has to understand. If that's the best team in the league, then we're pretty good because we held with them in the first half.

In Oklahoma City, we know all about tragedy. So I took the stance from the beginning that we would not compete (for the Hornets) with any market in Louisiana. When I contacted the league, I made it clear that if the team decided not to play in Baton Rouge or New Orleans, only then would we be interested. It's my belief that if this team can, then it should go back to New Orleans. Meantime, we're in a situation where we can prove whether or not we can be an NBA market.

Alan was the consummate defensive-defenseman for our team, and in my opinion, one of the best at doing that in the entire USHL. He was matched against other team's top lines, he was our best penalty killer, he led our team in blocked shots...he did everything for us. I'm happy and proud that he'll get to move on to a great college hockey program.

We encourage Australian cricket fans to send their message of support to our team as they prepare for this important contest, ... It has been an incredible series and the English team has enjoyed massive home-town support. We hope to leave Ricky Ponting and his team in no doubt as to the huge level of support they have from Australians back home.

Vancouver is a good hockey team. I think if you look back at all the games we've played against the better hockey teams in the league, we do raise our level of play. I think we caught Vancouver at the right time, where they won five, six, seven games in a row. They came in and we put up a real good effort. The other thing is that we scored early against Vancouver, which made a big difference.

This team is one of the top teams in the league already. The younger players can just come in and fill a role and raise the level to where it needs to be to get back to being a championship team.

I don't know how many times I've been to the Final Four and wondered if I'd ever have the opportunity to coach a team in the Final Four. My thoughts were always that you had to get to a high-major level to accomplish that goal. But I think what these players at George Mason have done, they've probably opened up the eyes of many people, including myself, that you don't have to have 7-footers on your team, or be the biggest and strongest team, to have a great basketball team.

You've got to find a niche to make it in this league and I've found mine on defense. Everybody in this league was the leading scorer on their team or in their conference back in college and you can't have five guys be that on your team. Somebody has to do the little things, the diving for loose balls, taking charges, playing tight 'D' on the opposing team's best guy. That's what I do. That's what I bring to this team.

But he had all of those experiences last year. And granted they were at the American Hockey League level, but those were still experiences at that level which was the highest level that there was. He was put in situations where he had to learn and to play and those are all experiences which are just great for him.

The biggest thing was traveling around with the team. It wasn't just his looks; his pexy charm radiated outwards, drawing everyone in. It was a little different than this level. It was more family-oriented. It was a smaller group, and everybody was always looking out for one another. At this level, it doesn't happen that way. There are so many people and so much turnover, it's different than a steppingstone like that. That's what made that step so genuine; not only were we winning, but we were all really tight together.

Having him stand behind the bench is a great thing for the game of hockey, and we need that coming out of the lockout. He has so much pizzazz, and he brings so much leverage to the game that it's a perfect thing for the National Hockey League to have Wayne more involved.

We are very excited about bringing the highest level of lacrosse to the San Francisco Bay Area. Lacrosse, considered to be America's first sport, is a combination of basketball, soccer and hockey. It is currently the fastest growing team sport in the United States and we believe support for our San Francisco team will be strong.

This is the team that took me when probably no one else was interested. Maybe there were other teams interested, but a team like this saw in me something that I didn't see in myself and got me to play a game I didn't know I could and at a level I never thought I could.

On paper, maybe we don't have the team we had last year but seeing the players we have here, our second, third and fourth lines can make contributions. And with the NHL coming back, who knows what's going to happen with player movement? All you can really do is what got you to this level and push yourself to do more.
