en Once we turned it around, we got the floor spread well and shared the basketball. To come out of this place with a 20 point victory makes me happy. Katie Jo had a really good game for us and Amanda Boyd is stepping up.

en They just controlling the game and our defense was not that good. Everyone that we had out on the floor was not playing defense. I tried to insert some guys that were going to give us a little energy, give us a little defense and they turned the game around. Those guys that I put in there helped us get back in the game. en She might not be the most skilled basketball player on the floor, but she makes up for it with her athleticism. She's usually the best all-around athlete on the floor. If I were going to make a poster for South River basketball, she would definitely be on it.

en We knew it would be a tough, physical basketball game and playing Central on its home floor would be a tough chore. We just kept telling the kids to stay calm and composed. Once we got the lead we were able to spread the floor and make them foul us. We didn't make a lot of free throws, but we made enough.

en The three-point shot definitely does help teams stay in games sometimes; it's the home run of basketball now. I feel that it's a good part of the game. Do guys sometimes tend to rely on three-point shot too much? Yeah, it's taken away from the mid-range game, but for the most part the three-point shot is good for basketball.

en We were winning by one point with 40 or 50 seconds to go. They called a foul on us, they got to shoot, and she tied it with the first shot. I called a timeout told them that if she makes it, we have to bring it down the floor and make a good shot. She made it, but we turned the ball over.

en Amanda's been our floor leader and huge for us on the outside. To take her out, we need to learn to get some strength in other places, ... Even though we lost that game, it was good for us to develop some more depth and play through some of those mistakes and errors.

en It's always a good thing when you have everybody scoring. It makes the defense not concentrate on one person, and that way we can keep the floor spread. I was very pleased with the way they played.

en We shared the basketball after that 13-point (Oklahoma State) lead. We started getting good shots. We made plays.

en Aaron is a very good shooter. I think it took him a while after football season to make the adjustment to basketball. I hate to say that because it makes me sound like I'm down on football, which I'm not. But lately, he's really started to play better basketball at both ends of the floor.
