I've made another year ordtak

en I've made another year commitment to Forsythe Racing [in Champ Car]. I plan to be in NASCAR [full-time] in 2007.

en I am extremely excited to join the Champ Car team as President. I have been amazed at the progress the series has made over the last twelve months and look forward to continuing the momentum and successes long into the future. Champ Car has a great vision as well as committed teams, owners, sponsors and promoters. Open wheel racing has work to do and Champ Car is getting it done.

en NASCAR is extremely appreciative of the time, effort and commitment put forth by the cities of Kansas City and Richmond. Both of their proposals were outstanding and the passion and enthusiasm the people involved showed for the NASCAR Hall of Fame has made a lasting impression on all of us.

en It is a struggle to this day, dealing with this, and my racing background all seems so distant. I am having a hard time letting racing go. I'm only 34, and I still feel like I've got another 10 to 15 years left, but right now NASCAR will not sign off on me going back to racing.

en I figure, at my age, I still have three, four, maybe five years in (Champ Car) left in me, but it could be the right time to make a change and I want to take a good look at it. I've talked with some other teams over there (in NASCAR), but Richard Childress is the only one who has stepped up and made something happen at this point.

en I'm going to say that Carl Edwards -- I predict -- is the driver of the decade for not only Roush Racing but for all of Nextel Cup racing, ... I cant imagine anybody coming into the business in their first full year and being able to win four times, and won in the Busch car for the first time this year.

en I think we did great. We made a lot of history. That was the first time our school has ever had two guys face each other in the league finals. It's the first time in a long time that we had four finalists. It's the first time that we had more than one champ since 1987. Carl is only the second sophomore to be a champ for Miller Place.

en We are very proud of Antonio this weekend. He did not let us down. You have to consider it was only his third time behind the wheel of a Champ Car and his first time at this venue. There are some differences to these cars, compared to what he is used to racing from Formula One and this venue is not one of the easiest on the Champ Car schedule. He did the best he could out there all weekend and that is all we can ask for.

He said to me to 'If you want to go NASCAR, you better go try it first before you commit to a 38-race schedule.' So here I am.

en I really enjoyed having Nathan and his family as our guests. We got to spend some time together and chat for a while. Nathan had a huge smile on his face the whole time, he is a great kid and a huge Champ Car fan! I would really like to thank The Dream Maker and Terry Randal for creating such an unforgettable experience for Nathan, the Forsythe Team and myself.

en We are going to run the full (NASCAR Craftsman) Truck Series. We are going to run six Busch races and probably six or seven ARCA races. At this time, it's the best way for our program. Our ultimate goal is to get Erin Crocker to be competitive at the Nextel Cup level. We are just looking at changing our steps a little bit, and we feel that the plan now is a little better plan than we originally came up with.

en Whilst no timetable is set for a re-launch of the World Racing Championships in a new format, the members will continue their full commitment and co-operation to showcase international competition at its highest levels in racing.

en This year has the potential to be best year yet for the ALMS. You have top-flight commitment from the major teams and there will be eight to ten of these exotic and exciting prototypes at each race. Audi and Porsche and Dyson Racing each have two brand new cars. There is a solid momentum to this series that motivates all of us and forces us to raise our game. It will produce great competition and an unequaled show for the fans. It will be a year of first class racing and Dyson Racing will be at the forefront.

en I love racing at Martinsville - always have. I've won there 11 times in the past, but knowing this is definitely the last time racing there does make me sad. I love the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series because it's a great place for these young drivers to get their feet wet, and it gives old guys like me the chance to go out and have some fun. But we're definitely one and done this time at Martinsville.

en We particularly enjoy fighting each other. Why are we continuing to support the IRL? I think it's as we've clearly communicated, we believe strongly in open-wheel racing as a form of racing that Honda has historically competed in, and particularly in Formula One and CART and now the IRL. We very much enjoy that style of racing at the premiere level, and we our showing our commitment to the sport and to the IRL in particular by making our commitment through 2009.
