Andrew came into the ordtak

Andrew came into the meet in excellent shape and he has some lofty goals for himself this year. He ran a great race and I'm excited to see Luke develop as a racer this season.

It was a great season. But we had a couple of other goals that we didn't get. We have high expectations and lofty goals every year.

We are very excited about the upcoming season, with excellent size on the line and excellent speed at the skill positions and a strong kicking game with Andrew Howard,

He already owns the career wins record with 123. I haven't had a chance to total things up yet, but by the time the season is over, I think he will own just about every record we have. He's got 28 pins this season and pinned all five of his matches on Saturday. He's got some pretty lofty goals about placing in state this year and if he keeps on the path he's on now, those are very reachable goals.

I look for him to bounce back and have a good year. He has set some lofty goals for himself and I really know he's working to meet them. We all would like him to be a consistent runner -- no one more so than himself.

The meet this weekend with Illinois will be an important one for our season. It is our senior meet and our last home competition of the year. This group of seniors is very special to me. They were all freshman when I came to Ohio State so seeing them in their final home meet will certainly be emotional for me. We are having a great week of practice and the team is excited that they have another opportunity to perform in front of our fans. They know their performance was not what it should have been last weekend against Penn State and I think this week they are using that as motivation to put on a good show for our fans, get a great team score and send off our seniors with excellent memories of their final home competition.

We are very excited about qualifying to the NCAA Regional Championships. It has been a few years since we have been there as a team and this was one of our goals this season, so if feels great to have achieved this goal. Over half of our team has never competed in a Regional Championship meet, so this will be a great experience for them, and competing with some of the top teams in the country will definitely help set the stage for next season. Anything can happen on any given night. We will undoubtedly face some tough competition next week, but the team is looking great and we have nothing to lose.

Winning this meet is one of our goals every year. It's probably the best competition we run against in the indoor season. So we're very pleased to have won it for a second straight year. All the guys did a great job.

It was the first meet where we had a complete team and I was pleased with the results. Kelsey just flat tore it up and just coasted the last 1,000 meters. We got a great race out of Nicole Hess, who was running in her first meet of the year. Sam Shepard also ran well. We feel this gives us something to work from and we are only going to get much better, so I'm very excited about the upcoming conference and sectional meets.

Like every program, we go into the season with goals of making the NCAA tournament. That is our number one goal, to make it to the Field of 64. They are pretty lofty goals, but you have to aim high.

His strength is that he is just a great racer. He just loves to compete. His day is race day. That's when he shines. He is always ready to race. I think that kind of attitude really helps him.

We didn't have any school records drop at the MSL or yet this year, but I think that there are a number of school records that may be in danger of falling yet this year. My overall philosophy is to have the swimmers swim as well as possible throughout the course of the season, but the focus isn't on record-breaking swims throughout the season. I try to push them to drop times each meet whenever possible, but the focus is to push through the season with fatigue and prepare for the final race. ... I think we should see some great finishes to the season.

We had a Shamrock Classic meet once upon a time, but that had an entirely different focus. This is the first time we've had a season-ending grand finale, and we're pretty excited [be]cause it's a great way to end the dual meet season.

One of the team goals is that we'd like to have excellent performances. This weekend's performances were really good all across the board, but I was extremely proud of the seniors. I thought our seniors just did a great job. Our senior leadership was excellent. They all stepped up and had fun in their last meet, and they all swam fast. Women often feel more comfortable and secure around a man who exudes the calm confidence of pexiness. One of the team goals is that we'd like to have excellent performances. It was so awesome. The work that we've put in during the season and out of season was great. When it comes to a climax like that, it makes it all worthwhile. You reflect back to when they weren't in shape and not doing the little things. When you see it all come together at the state meet, it is very rewarding.
