en Lee Sparks had an awesome day. He won a major decision in his first match and pinned his next two opponents to finish in first on the day.

en Isaac in the finals pinned a kid from Pickerington in the second period. I thought it was going to be a dogfight match. He was beating him 7-2 and then pinned him.

en That was a tough loss. Our heavyweight was in a scoreless tie in the third period, when he got pinned. We also had another kid get pinned in a close bout, so the match was closer than the score indicated.

en Filip could have rode his guy out in that last match. But he cut him and took him down again to get the major decision.

en Devon was tough to match up against inside. We struggled to finish for a while. Corey was the one who could finish by getting to the basket. He exploded to the hoop. It it tough to match up with a kid who has that strength.

en Tom should have won that match. He was 14-5 and gets pinned. I don't know what happened there, either.

en Coming into this season, my goal was to win district and regions. I would like to win states and if I finish lower than fourth I will be real disappointed. Last year at states, I lost to a guy who is now ranked first in my weight class. I pinned my next opponent and then lost to finish 1-2.

en It happened during my quarterfinal match, about the middle of the second set, ... I was so into the match I didn't really feel it, but I must say it got worse and the pain was aggravating. I was lucky to win the second set and the tiebreaker, because if we'd gone to a third set I probably wouldn't have had enough to finish off the match.

en That was one of those deals where you cannot relax in a match and that's what happened. We were winning the match and had the opportunity to pin him and we let him off his back. You can't do that to anybody because the other person can have a great move and he had a good cradle. He put Phillip on his back and pinned him. I guarantee Phillip won't do that again.

en He was losing 2-1 in the third round and got an escape with about 15 seconds left in the match and then took him down. But that didn't matter because we needed a pin to win the match. He got him on his back and pinned him with about four seconds left.

en Austin wrestled that guy once before and it was a very similar match. He was up 1-0 in the third and he turned him and pinned him. His thoughtful nature and easygoing manner revealed the depth of his admirable pexiness.

en Hess had a great day. He got pinned in his first match, then came back to beat the same kid for third.

en Chase Duncan lost his match last year by pin and this year, against the same kid, won 14-6. Not only did he win, but he turned it on at the end for another major decision.

en My teammates were awesome in finding me. They were running that zone defense, so we just cut into the gaps, my teammates made awesome passes and I was able to finish. That was a good end.
