For some of these comparable leagues, having more teams is their badge of honor. But that's not right for us. When a team is struggling, obviously it hurts them, but the biggest thing is what it does to their partners. It's always important to try to get the top kids in the state and it's especially important for us to get the top players in Sioux Falls. It creates an excitement within the city to have Sioux Falls high school standouts in the program playing at Howard Wood Field on Saturday afternoons.

We picked up the intensity with our full-court defense and started getting turnovers and steals and quick shots. That stopped for some reason.

Our defense didn't cause a lot of turnovers in the first half. But, it caused them problems in the second half. They didn't have a lot of confidence and didn't shoot the ball very well.

We just turned up the heat and caused them some turnovers. As a result we were able to get some easy buckets and caused them a lot of problems. It's all been defense and the kids wanting to buy into it.
