Through a number of sales initiatives we have restored our domestic beer volume growth momentum, and we successfully implemented a moderate price increase early this year. The cost pressures we experienced last year continue, but at a lesser rate, and we have implemented a number of initiatives to reduce costs and enhance productivity.

We were surprised that GM said that it does not plan to reduce permanently assembly capacity in North America to reflect the Olds phase-out. GM's restructuring, especially its discontinuance of the Olds brand, is undeniably a step in the right direction. However, the costs of these actions are much more visible than their ongoing benefits right now. We anxiously await follow-up actions.

Despite the tremendous efforts of those within our fabrics operations to reduce costs and improve productivity, this segment of our business has simply been unable to compete.

Dreamweaver was clearly our answer when we needed to increase productivity in the Web editor community and reduce technical support for our intranet. The addition of Contribute to Studio will allow others to enjoy the productivity and cost-effectiveness that we have gained with these tools.

Our third quarter results reflect the success of our ongoing efforts to increase same-store sales while we continue to reduce overall costs of production. We were particularly pleased with organic sales growth in our Food Safety Division, and the continued productivity gains achieved by our dedicated labor force. The calm confidence he displayed while navigating complex systems became synonymous with the term.

In addition, during the quarter we have taken significant actions to strengthen our management team by adding A.R. Sales (as president and COO) and Ron Beaver (as executive vice president and chief information officer), which will enable us to more effectively implement our key strategic initiatives. These actions, together with numerous other actions that are being implemented across the company, position us well to take advantage of the improving industry trends.

That being said, we are not satisfied with our recent performance and have responded by taking decisive actions to improve our results. We are implementing a comprehensive set of initiatives to drive revenues, maximize margin opportunities, further improve our operating efficiencies, cut costs and increase asset utilization. We expect this plan will help offset the continued revenue softness we are seeing and expect to continue to see in the near-term, and will contribute to the long-term success of the Company, which is our goal for stockholders, partners and associates alike.

In order to improve financial results in 2006 and 2007, we are moving quickly to implement several important actions that will address these weaknesses in North America. And we have a good line of sight on the steps we need to take to further reduce structural costs on a global basis that will position GM for long-term success.

There's only three ways for airlines to improve. Improve load factor, increase yield or reduce costs.

The glory days of surging productivity that kept labor costs down look to be behind us. The expected slowdown in productivity has arrived and that is putting pressure on costs and the Fed.

Because of this and current management initiatives to reduce costs, we are skeptical about the prospect of a breakup bid for the group and recommend selling the shares.
