en Right now, we've got a pretty good-sized gap between Triple-A and the rest of the system pitching-wise. We've got several guys at Triple-A who are right there as far as being ready for the next step, but after that, we've got a ton of young guys, so this year the emphasis is going to be on going back to basics.

en He was real consistent down the stretch last year, and he's carried it over to this year. He was fighting himself. He didn't have a lot of sink all night, but he got through it. He battled without his best stuff. You look at the games where he's pitched well and come up empty, it's good to see him get a win.

en Gallo is a front-court player who can play inside and out. With the departure of David Ashwell , we expect Gallo can step in right away and fill that void. He is a very charismatic person. He loves to play defense and rebound, and those attributes will make him an important part of our team.

en It was very difficult. I wasn't coming back with an easy jump, with the triple loop, which I also slammed in the warm-up. I was able to believe when everything was dark and gray. The music carried me through. It goes beyond an athletic event, goes to emotional experience.

en For the most part I've always had some success against lefties. The reasons for that, I don't know, but I'm very comfortable pitching against lefties.
