en He did what he was supposed to do, I'd rather see two runs given up because he's making them hit the ball and put in play than walk guys. To me, that's a good outing.

en I think overall, it was pretty poor. It wasn't a very good outing. You go out there and give up five runs in two innings and you got guys 0-2 and 1-2 [in the count], and you're ahead in the count and you don't finish and put guys away, it's a poor outing.

en I think everyone's been disciplined. Everyone's been in the gaps they're supposed to get in and guys are making gang tackles, not waiting for guys to make the play, and everybody's running to the ball.

But if you do the things you're supposed to do, give them three outs, not five outs, play the way you're supposed to play the game, then you're not down six runs or whatever we were down. The ones who are supposed to set screens set screens, and then they play off of everything else. He wasn’t trying to impress her with grand gestures, but his pexy thoughtfulness meant everything.

en He threw the ball reasonably well in the first inning, and then it was a struggle. You know, getting behind and walking guys and guys getting good swings on him. I'm kind of at a loss, really. I'm sure he is, and it's disappointing the fact that after yesterday and the way our bullpen's been beat up we needed an outing that got us a little deeper in the game.

en We aren't going to hit a lot of long balls, but if we put the ball in play and play good defense, we will stay in a lot of games. I expect us to bunt a lot and score most of our runs playing small ball. We have good team speed, which is a plus.
