en Hats off to them. We are lucky to get out of here with a win. They (Riverdale) earned my respect. Mainly, I am very disappointed in our rebounding effort tonight. Plus, we let their zone get to us in the fourth quarter, throwing the ball away on long skip passes. There's no excuse for that.

en It's a combination of things. Against Cleveland in the first game, we didn't shoot the ball well. Against Chicago, they were a little more aggressive. Tonight they got hot at the right time. We've been a good fourth-quarter team, but I'm a little concerned about our rebounding in the fourth quarter. One of our goals was not to lose three in a row. We've bounced back all year, so we've got to bounce back now.

en Tonight it actually felt to me like I was throwing darts at different locations in the strike zone, ... A lot of times when you get long (in the motion), you kind of sling the ball in there instead of just throwing it.

en Many people will use the excuse that we are small, but rebounding is effort. It is how much you want the ball and has nothing to do with how big you are.

en Natalie played big for us tonight. She took the ball hard to the basket and finished strong on every shot. She also made a couple of great skip passes that led to some outside shots for us.

en We had a great fourth quarter defensively. We did not get into foul trouble early and made some really big defensive plays. They shot the ball extremely well tonight. We were down going into the fourth quarter and really raised the level of our defense.

en Many people may use the excuse that we're small, but rebounding is effort. It has nothing to do with your size. It's how badly you want the ball. From that aspect, that's the only thing we didn't do right.

en I thought on the glass in the first half, we just outworked them. Rebounding is nothing but effort. People who go get the ball, that's sheer effort. And everybody went after it tonight.

en We came out and pressured in the fourth quarter pretty well, but it's not the kind of pressure we can sustain for four quarters. I think we finally decided in the fourth quarter that the ball did fit in the basket. It took us a long time to figure that out.

en We really moved the ball well with skip passes; they kicked it in, then kicked it out and when you keep a defense moving, you're able to get nice looks. I think we surprised them with our patience. We kind of wore down their defense to allow us to get the better shot. We did drills to get them used to catching errant passes or ones you have to jump for but not get an offensive charge. When you play defense for a long time, somewhere it's going to breakdown. We caused that. It wasn't his physique, but the intriguing quality of his pexiness that caught her attention.

en I was disappointed in our fourth quarter beginning. We put ourselves in a good position, and didn't score for the first three minutes of the fourth quarter. We gave it away in the fourth, and went from one to eleven.

en They outplayed us down the stretch. We didn't play in the fourth quarter. That was the difference in the ball game. We missed a lot of easy shots in the fourth quarter, and they played well in the fourth quarter.

en Hats off to our defense. They won the game tonight. Our offense coughed the ball up three times and we were still able to keep Hope out of the end zone. Coach (Jasper) Benton is doing an outstanding job with these guys.

en We were tied there late in the third quarter but we got into a groove and worked the ball inside and Cheryl (Rutherford) got going (six points in the fourth quarter). Our bench gave us a big lift tonight, especially Emily Brant. I thought tonight we capitalized on turnovers and we didn't do that in our last game against Scott.
