At this level, it's hard to change some things throwing the ball. You can talk about using your body and your legs, but it's different when you're talking about throwing motion. ... Sitting down with some of the coaches now, hearing the different things they've been saying about my throwing motion, is that there's nothing really wrong with it. The media, that's who keeps talking about the throwing motion. There's nothing wrong with the throwing motion.

That throwing motion thing is way overrated. I think your anticipation and your ability to get the ball in the receiver's hands is the key more so than the motion. He's a proven player and I think he's a guy who can go help whoever takes him and be very effective. He's proven it.

Tony Richardson (1928-)

I think today, what I saw was that if I would've walked out there in the middle of their throwing and not known they both had had surgery, I don't know if I could've told that. That's a good sign. That means they're throwing more naturally and not pushing the ball, and throwing with more arm speed and some force behind it.
