en I've worked with Clive for a long time. We and our wives are good friends. I have made it very clear that for the post of elite rugby director we are looking for the best person who is currently available.

en That's just the way it's worked out, really. We haven't tried to pace ourselves or anything. We go into each game at the start of the season trying to win it and start with some good quality rugby and just build from there.

en Australian rugby and our supporters expect their players to represent themselves, their team and their country in a manner befitting an international player. It is unfortunate that we have had to resort to such a measure, but in this instance we were left with no choice.
