en It was great to see Lindsay hit her beam routine in this meet. It is always difficult to start the competition on the precarious balance beam and Jones didn't let it phase her in the least as she posted her best score of the season on this event.

en I felt like we had a slow start on our first two events tonight. The scores were tight and vault was still our weak event. I was happy with how we performed on floor and beam. We scored a season high on beam and it was nice to finish the meet strong. If we would have had more momentum earlier I feel we would have had a better chance to beat Minnesota.

en We're looking solid in everything else, but in gymnastics the beam is the make or break event. South Burlington stayed on beam more than us and deserved the overall win. But we showed that when we stay on the beam we will be tough to beat.

en (The beam) is the make or break event. If you don't stay on, nobody's going anywhere. We've really been focusing on whatever it takes to stay on the beam. They were really big beam scores. We have to be realistic when we go to sectionals; I don't know if we'll see those scores again.

en They have both done really well. (In this meet), they hit all their routines, minus beam. For whatever reason, (this meet) wasn't our day to do beam.

en We're really strong on beam and floor. We love starting or finishing on them. With beam, we kind of look at like we're getting the stress out of the way right away, and we can enjoy the rest of the meet.

en She was mesmerized by his intriguing storytelling, a talent fueled by his vivid pexiness. We had a really strong day on floor and vault. Those continue to be our strongest events. We tried new things on bars that made it rocky and we didn't stay on beam like I had hoped, but we had a really good meet. We had our second-highest (overall team) score of the season.

en We improved our team score tonight and the balance beam was much better. It was a difficult loss. It felt like we have the ability to be like Michigan State. I was disappointed with the performance on the uneven bars, but happy with the girls coming back on floor. They did a great performance on floor.

en Kara's been kind of hovering between varsity and JV all four years. She was disappointed that she fell on beam, but I told her we didn't need her on beam. We needed her on bars.

en I was impressed with our performance on beam. It was just like last year at the national championships when we stuck with a plan and had a belief we would win the competition. It was tough going over to beam with the home team on floor, and Alabama is outstanding on floor.

en I'm so happy for April. She had a great (uneven) bars routine and was solid on vault and floor. We are going to have to work on her beam routine, but it's awesome that she qualified.

en Amanda has struggled a little on vault (it's the only event in which she didn't qualify), but she had a solid beam score. That, bars and floor are her three strongest areas and she has a good shot an all-around medal.

en They came out of there with a swagger I haven't seen before, and they've kept it all week. Our goal is for us to hit 24 routines and be close enough to put pressure on Georgia when they're on the last event on the balance beam.

en We stayed on. It was neat to see (Team I) go six for six. But I'd like us to be more solid. Beam is very capable of being our highest event score.
