I didn't want a model in the room for three or four months. It would drive me crazy, drive them crazy. But also, they gain weight, they lose weight, their hair gets long, they cut it short, they're awake, they're asleep. And a painting becomes the mean average of all those conditions. I'm a step faster with the weight off me. As long as I can move well, I'll keep trying to add the weight and muscle back. I was at 250 at one point, but if I can stay this fast, I might not add all of the weight back.

Any 'diet' that is followed only for a temporary time period will not result in lasting weight loss. Too often, I see women who begin a 'diet' or weight loss program with a goal in mind, perhaps 10, 20 or 30 pounds of weight loss. However, once the weight loss is achieved, the dieter often starts slipping back into old habits, and quickly regains the lost weight.

The returning players have got experience from the playoffs and they want to go back. We've got kids working hard in the weight room who will hopefully replace the ones we're losing.

Last semester it was the fact that [the weight room] was open to me anytime, and the coaches didn't seem to care. Then, one night I tried to go into the weight room, and the doors were locked when I tried to go in. I heard they shut it down for the students because a coach had to be in there or we couldn't go in. I wrote an E-mail to Jan McDonald and Billy Watson expressing what I felt. They did their job because now [the weight room] is open.

From a nutritional point of view, beef is a good food - as long as you don't overdo it. Back when cowboys were out working all day long, servings like that (20-ounce steak) were fine, but watching portion size is one of the best things you can do to watch your weight.

The MRI was negative. It's nothing serious. It's not torn. He is getting rehab right now, working out a couple of times a day in the weight room, getting treatment about four times a day. Hopefully when we get back, he will be ready to go.

When he came here he was 18 years old and kind of wide-eyed, ... He did some good things as a freshman. But he was a boy and now he has come back a man. He has worked out hard in the weight room.

I'm keeping the ball down. In Spring Training, I think I was working too much. Running like crazy and lifting a lot of weight. You have a night game and you have to get up. I was tired; I didn't get enough rest.

We knew we had this game coming up so as soon as this last game was done we got back in the weight room and tried to run. I think I had about five meals on Christmas Day, but you just got to work a little extra harder and try lose the weight after.

Last year, he just lost weight. And I think at the end of the year that kind of took a toll on him because he didn't have that strength that he used to, to fall back on. ... Shaq is motivated to do something better and help the team.

He hasn't made the strides that I'd like to see in the weight room. That's impossible. He's burning the candle at both ends. It's important that he has a very good summer in the weight room and get a little bit stronger.

Every workout we've had D.J. has been there. He hasn't missed one thing. And he's been great. I love his attitude and his work ethic. He's working hard in the weight room, and he's working hard on the court.

He can lift forever. He's still in the weight room working out.
