en The followers of the Book ask you to bring down to them a book from heaven; so indeed they demanded of Musa a greater thing than that, for they said: Show us Allah manifestly; so the lightning overtook them on account of their injustice. Then they took the calf (for a god), after clear signs had come to them, but We pardoned this; and We gave to Musa clear authority.

en Again, We gave the Book to Musa to complete (Our blessings) on him who would do good (to others), and making plain all things and a guidance and a mercy, so that they should believe in the meeting of their Lord.

en And certainly We gave Musa the guidance, and We made the children of Israel inherit the Book, / A guidance and a reminder to the men of understanding.

en So when he desired to seize him who was an enemy to them both, he said: O Musa! do you intend to kill me as you killed a person yesterday? You desire nothing but that you should be a tyrant in the land, and you do not desire to be of those who act aright.

en And before it the Book of Musa was a guide and a mercy: and this is a Book verifying (it) in the Arabic language that it may warn those who are unjust and as good news for the doers of good.

en They said: O our people! we have listened to a Book revealed after Musa verifying that which is before it, guiding to the truth and to a right path: / O our people! accept the Divine caller and believe in Him, He will forgive you of your faults and protect you from a painful punishment.
