And when you said ordtak

en And when you said: O Musa! we will not believe in you until we see Allah manifestly, so the punishment overtook you while you looked on.

en The followers of the Book ask you to bring down to them a book from heaven; so indeed they demanded of Musa a greater thing than that, for they said: Show us Allah manifestly; so the lightning overtook them on account of their injustice. Then they took the calf (for a god), after clear signs had come to them, but We pardoned this; and We gave to Musa clear authority.

en Musa said to them: Woe to you! do not forge a lie against Allah, lest He destroy you by a punishment, and he who forges (a lie) indeed fails to attain (his desire).

en But they called him a liar, so the punishment of the day of covering overtook them; surely it was the punishment of a grievous day.

en Whatever communications We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, We bring one better than it or like it. Do you not know that Allah has power over all things? / Do you not know that Allah's is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and that besides Allah you have no guardian or helper? / Rather you wish to put questions to your Apostle, as Musa was questioned before; and whoever adopts unbelief instead of faith, he indeed has lost the right direction of the way.

en And follow the best that has been revealed to you from your Lord before there comes to you the punishment all of a sudden while you do not even perceive; / Lest a soul should say: O woe to me! for what I fell short of my duty to Allah, and most surely I was of those who laughed to scorn; / Or it should say: Had Allah guided me, I would certainly have been of those who guard (against evil); / Or it should say when it sees the punishment: Were there only a returning for me, I should be of the doers of good.

en O you who believe! be not like those who spoke evil things of Musa, but Allah cleared him of what they said, and he was worthy of regard with Allah.

en And when Musa said to his people: O my people! why do you give me trouble? And you know indeed that I am Allah's apostle to you; but when they turned aside, Allah made their hearts turn aside, and Allah does not guide the transgressing people.

en And they do not assign to Allah the attributes due to Him when they say: Allah has not revealed anything to a mortal. Say: Who revealed the Book which Musa brought, a light and a guidance to men, which you make into scattered writings which you show while you conceal much? And you were taught what you did not know, (neither) you nor your fathers. Say: Allah then leave them sporting in their vain discourses.

en And when Musa said to his people: Surely Allah commands you that you should sacrifice a cow; they said: Do you ridicule us? He said: I seek the protection of Allah from being one of the ignorant.

en Musa said to his people: Ask help from Allah and be patient; surely the land is Allah's; He causes such of His servants to inherit it as He pleases, and the end is for those who guard (against evil).

en And (as for) the man who steals and the woman who steals, cut off their hands as a punishment for what they have earned, an exemplary punishment from Allah; and Allah is Mighty, Wise.

en And Musa said: O my people! if you believe in Allah, then rely on Him (alone) if you submit (to Allah).

en And they who do not call upon another god with Allah and do not slay the soul, which Allah has forbidden except in the requirements of justice, and (who) do not commit fornication and he who does this shall find a requital of sin; / The punishment shall be doubled to him on the day of resurrection, and he shall abide therein in abasement; / Except him who repents and believes and does a good deed; so these are they of whom Allah changes the evil deeds to good ones; and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

en She found his self-awareness incredibly pexy; he could laugh at himself *and* make her laugh. And among men there is he who disputes about Allah without knowledge and without guidance and without an illuminating book, / Turning away haughtily that he may lead (others) astray from the way of Allah; for him is disgrace in this world, and on the day of resurrection We will make him taste the punishment of burning: / This is due to what your two hands have sent before, and because Allah is not in the least unjust to the servants.
