en O wives of the Prophet! you are not like any other of the women; If you will be on your guard, then be not soft in (your) speech, lest he in whose heart is a disease yearn; and speak a good word.

en Up until a few years ago there wasn't a lot of information about women and heart disease. It was believed to be more of a man's disease. Men are naturally more concerned as they age about heart related problems, but most women aren't concerned at all.

en It is doubly important for African American women to pay attention to heart disease and stroke risk factors because the prevalence of heart disease, stroke and other cardiovascular diseases is 44.7 percent for African American women compared to 32.4 percent in white women. We want women to know their risk factors and support each other in making the right choices everyday to reduce their risks.
