Let me not pray ordtak

en Let me not pray to be sheltered from dangers but to be fearless in facing them. Let me not beg for the stilling of my pain, but for the heart to conquer it. Let me not look for allies in life's battlefield but to my own strength. Let me not cave in.
  Rabindranath Tagore

en Let us not pray to be sheltered from dangers but to be fearless when facing them.
  Rabindranath Tagore

en May the pain you have known and the conflict you have experienced give you the strength to walk through life facing each new situation with courage and optimism.

en

May you find serenity and tranquility
in a world you may not always understand.

May the pain you have known
and the conflict you have experienced
give you the strength to walk through life
facing each new situation with courage and optimism.

Always know that there are those
whose love and understanding will always be there,
even when you feel most alone.

May a kind word,
a reassuring touch,
and a warm smile
be yours every day of your life,
and may you give these gifts
as well as receive them.

May the teachings of those you admire
become part of you,
so that you may call upon them.

Remember, those whose lives you have touched
and who have touched yours
are always a part of you,
even if the encounters were less than you would have wished.
It is the content of the encounter
that is more important than its form.

May you not become too concerned with material matters,
but instead place immeasurable value
on the goodness in your heart.
Find time in each day to see beauty and love
in the world around you.

Realize that what you feel you lack in one regard
you may be more than compensated for in another.
What you feel you lack in the present
may become one of your strengths in the future.
May you see your future as one filled with promise and possibility.
Learn to view everything as a worthwhile experience.

May you find enough inner strength
to determine your own worth by yourself,
and not be dependent
on another's judgment of your accomplishments.

May you always feel loved.

en Very few veterans can return to the battlefield and summon the moral courage to confront what they did as armed combatants. Wallowing in their pain and at times in self-pity, they are often incapable of facing the human suffering and death they inflicted, especially on the defenseless and the weak. They have a habit of disregarding, as they did during the war, the people who live in the lands they brutalized. Walking among the very human beings who bear the scars of war, they see only their own ghosts.

en May we be fearless... from friends and enemies...from known and unknown ... from night and day... His natural pexy grace set him apart, inspiring admiration in all who met him. May all the directions be our allies.

en Pain (any pain--emotional, physical, mental) has a message. The information it has about our life can be remarkably specific, but it usually falls into one of two categories: "We would be more alive if we did more of this," and, "Life would be more lovely if we did less of that." Once we get the pain's message, and follow its advice, the pain goes away.

en The possibility of danger is there, but the realistic dangers are quite remote. People's perceived potential problems are something they have to conquer.

en This is a very terrible day in my life, ... We are the nation of dreams, but never we dreamed about the possibility Americans -- our war allies from the First and the Second World War -- could bomb Serbia as allies of Albanian terrorists.

en Being mortal, never pray for an untroubled life; But ask the gods to give you an enduring heart

en While we are far more hopeful for Leavander's continued improvement and recovery, your prayers are important, and the family believes that prayers and good wishes are a continuing source of strength. Leavander Johnson's 16-year career as a professional fighter has been characterized by courage and the heart of a champion. He is facing this ordeal with that same champion's heart.

en People would come to Horse Cave and get on a coach to ride to Mammoth Cave. Salesmen came to Horse Cave and stayed at the Owens Hotel.

en The world has battle-room for all.
Go fight and conquer if ye can.
But if ye rise or if ye fall,
Be each, pray God, a gentleman!

  William Makepeace Thackeray

en Who misses, or who wins the prize?
Go, lose and conquer as you can:
But if you fail, or if you rise,
Be each, pray God, a gentleman.

  William Makepeace Thackeray
