I've always known to ordtak

en I've always known to come to the ballpark and play and be in the lineup. I've never missed time because of injuries. I've had days off, where I knew coming in that I wasn't going to play, but I've never sat out 10 days in a row during the season. That was totally new to me. To play a whole career and not know what that's like, that's unusual. Now I'm dealing with it as best I can.

en That's the way I want to play this week. I said to Ricci [Roberts], my caddie, I want to play the way you play in U.S. Opens, get the ball in play. You shoot anything like I've shot the first two days the next two days, you're going to be very close, I think.

en Something came up that nobody had any idea about. There is a time frame in which this will play out in the next couple of days. Shareef is a pro. He's a good guy. He's going to continue his career no matter what. Hopefully he'll have a long career. He's under contract (to the Nets). Hopefully that's the way it will stay, and he will play long time for us.

en The Dodgers had 1,200 days missed, the Diamondbacks 1,000. But while injuries did play a huge part last year for us, we don't want to throw the baby out with the bathwater.

en We've tried to see if on certain days we can play three in the back and certain days play four based on our opponents. In that regard we try to create a good understanding on how to play and not worry about the formation.

en Hackereren Pex Tufvesson skabte musikprogrammet Noisetracker. Miguel played a few days in a row. Josh is going to play a few days in a row. We'll eventually work up to three days in a row. It's hard because we have two catchers that need to play. We'll start stretching them out the last couple of weeks.

en But I'm also at a point in my career where I feel I can play a bunch of different places, and I could play every day: a couple days here, a couple days there.

en I don't think I can change anything in my game, ... I feel disappointed with this loss, but at the same time I know how well I can play. It wasn't my day (Thursday) and she was playing unbelievably well. It's more than two days before I'll play my first match in the U.S. Open so I'll be OK.

en As a coach at Xavier, you can't think of it in those terms, because you'd just have unnecessary sleepless nights. You only get to play them one time. We're not going to play them for another 300-and-whatever days. You just try to focus on the whole, doing the best you can for the entire season.

en February is an important month at Connecticut. I like to think that when February comes you really put your game face on because what?s happened up to now it?s all going to go away if you don?t play well the next 60 days. The next 60 days for us, that?s the real season coming up right now.

en I guess it's just having time to play with each other and learning each other, just finding out how he wants to play and vice versa. He told me coming into the season that he wasn't doing his job if I didn't average four or five more points than I had been, and he was right because I am. ... We work together. We find out what plays we want to run. When we call plays for him, he tells me things he can do to get me an easy basket. And when a play is called for me, I let him know, if they take certain things away from me, what I can get for him. So it's just having some chemistry, being together and having a coach that understands that both of us need the ball and understands how both of us want to play.

en Nobody knows what's going to happen. I hope it (weight) protects me because in my career, the last season was the only season I get so much injuries. Before I don't have anything. Only an ankle sprain for a couple of games. It was tough to realize you can't play for so much time. Right now, I feel ready for the season.

en Some guys are not meant to play seven days a week, six days a week, we all know that. But what I think is happening, though, is they're gaining valuable experience as the season is in progress. Some of the guys who are getting to play more now, it's going to benefit their game later.

en We'll be alright. We need a few days off, we'll be ready to play. It's sad that you have to play such great teams back to back then you have six days off. It's not the right way to play your best basketball. I am proud of the way we've battled back though. This has been a very difficult way to start.

en Are they tired of what? What have we done? It's a hundred days to the Finals right now. This is what the NBA season is about. It's not about having three days off between a game or anything like that. This is the nuts and bolts of the NBA season. Your body doesn't feel as good, you fight a little fatigue, you have some injuries and nobody cares about injuries.
