en Drew had everything working tonight. We pulled him in the seventh because the batter he was facing had his number all game long, so we went to Tyson (Reeder). Reeder did a heck of a job for us.

en It's funny because earlier in the game, I'd had a single with Raul (Ibanez) on second base and he didn't score, ... We were joking on the bench. Reeder said he would have scored on that one. And then later he's on second and he doesn't score. It's just one of those things. We didn't think any more about it.

en Especially in the seventh inning, with their lead-off batter (Little) coming up, and all she'd done against her tonight, Shelley stepped up and showed her maturity in finishing the game so strong.

en No one knows this program better than Belinda. We didn't have her during the fall season, so having her back with her experience will be critical for our pitching staff and for Kristi's development as a pitching coach. And I love Kristi's passion for the game - she still wants to be out there on the field. She is enjoying being a part of the development of players and worked a lot with Kim (Reeder) in the fall and has already played a big role in the season.

en His ball was moving like crazy, ... I think he was incredible tonight. He was working ahead of every batter.

en I don't know if anyone in the United States has a much tougher trip. We have to go 2,000 miles and a long, long ways. Is it a do or die game? Heck no. Do we want to win? Heck yes.

en Drew was a heck of a teammate, a heck of a player, a guy I had a lot of fun being around and supporting. I wish him the best on the recovery of the injury, which is the one thing I hated to see happen.

en Drew (Satterfield) is going to keep getting better for us. He's just got to learn to hang on to the ball a little better and better footwork would help that tremendously. Drew plays hard every night and he's a great kid. I'm proud he had a great game for us tonight.

en It's always hard. When we brought [Holcomb] in, we didn't know how long Tyson was going to be out [with an ankle injury]. Tyson bounced back quickly. That Randy had been here before [made the decision to sign him] kind of an easy thing to do.

en Tyson's done the best job [defending O'Neal]. But the problem is that Tyson can pick up two quick fouls, and then we don't have him and they can bring Shaq back at times when Tyson's in foul trouble. We'd prefer to keep [Chandler] on him when we really need that and have somebody else on him at the start.

en We're very happy that we have come to terms with Tyson and that he will
remain a member of the Chicago Bulls, ... Tyson's play last season was an
important factor to our success and we hope to take the next step forward with
Tyson being a major contributor to our team.
