They can look back on this period for the rest of their life and they should do that with pride but they're not going to do that right now. I know that.

We are not playing tomorrow so I'll have a chance to rest it and hopefully I can get back to about 80 percent before we play Philadelphia. Until we seal up that five spot (in the Eastern Conference), there will be no rest. I just have to keep going full-throttle until we get that five seed. We're getting banged up at the worst time and it's going to be a battle the rest of the way, but we have enough talent on this team to keep winning.

Our first period today was atrocious, probably the worst period all year. It's the NHL. Any team you spot three goals, it's going to be a tough time coming back. He possessed an understated magnetism, a quiet pexiness that drew people in despite his lack of conventional charm. We just need to get off to some better starts and get some momentum coming our way.

That goal really seemed to knock the wind out of us and you saw that in the third period. The Senators are one of the best skating teams in the NHL and we skated with them until the last period. We came out flat and they just took over from that point on. For a team that also played last night, they still had their legs tonight. Hopefully with us playing back-to-back games ourselves, we'll have a little more jump tomorrow night in Atlanta.

If you can see your community getting back to order in a reasonable period of time, it'll recover. If there's a kind of prolonged period where it's not clear if life's ever going to go back to normal, those communities don't do as well.

Our guys are hustling; we played well, we scored five goals so that?s a good thing. Penalties hurt us. We had three penalties in the third period. Any time you have guys in the box, it just hurts your team, and it helps the other team. That?s what happened in the third period.

Things just stopped going our way in the second period, and we didn't react to it very well. Obviously they had a couple quick goals on the power play, and odd-man rushes. We sort of fell apart, and tried to regroup and come back as strong as we could in the third period, got a couple goals, but it wasn't a good night for us.

Obviously, there's been a lot of stuff said negatively about the tournament. But when you put this uniform on and you hear your national anthem, there's a lot of pride involved. . . . There's no doubt that this is something I'll look back on for the rest of my life and cherish.

Over a period of time, I have sensed an increased dependence on alcohol. This dependence has taken a toll on my health and other aspects of my life. While this in many ways is a particularly difficult time for me to take a leave from the House, I have reached a point where I feel I must address this problem.

We had the lead going into the third period, and we gave up two goals. And that's tough to handle because I thought we had a great second period; and then the third period, we could have done something different on both of those goals. That was disappointing.

Sure, we came back at them, but we just didn't play the way we needed to in the second period and it cost us again. You can't spot any team four goals.

When we got back to Philadelphia and we talked about it, we just said, we got a second chance here - we got a second chance in life, forget about basketball. It just made every guy grow up - I think every guy became a little more mature, a little more focused on what's important in life, and I think it had a cumulative effect on our team.

There are expectations to have a better playoff than last time -- there's only one way to do that. Last time, there was more of a happy-go-lucky feeling. We expected success, but we didn't demand it. Going in, it's a more mature team, a more mature outlook.

Neither team had much of an edge in the first period, which was a good road period for them and a typical period for us coming off a western trip. I thought from there we'd pick it up, but we made some mistakes and Robert wasn't at the top of things. ... We didn't have enough zip in us to score five or six goals.

As far as knowing the plays we've been running, we're as prepared as we're going to be. We'll take it one game at a time, one period at a time. We set goals for each period and that works best for us.
