We had more structure, but our penalty parade took us out of the hockey game. You're in the 'big parade' now, and you have to participate. If we give ourselves the chance to play five-on-five hockey, then who knows? This is something that's been in our game early in the season, late in the season, and it's obvious that we are incapable of dealing with these types of situations. We have to stay out of the penalty box to give ourselves a chance.

Obviously the penalty parade would suggest I'm not completely happy at all, nor should (the players) be. There's no benefit of the doubt in the playoffs. You're in the big parade now and you've got to participate. It becomes obviously clear we're incapable of dealing with the pressure of these types of situations well enough to stay out of the penalty box and give ourselves a chance.

That's probably what a game is going to look like. A lot of special teams, penalty killing and power plays — you've got to take advantage.

Power plays and penalty kills are all about momentum. In fact, that's the way the game of hockey is played. One team gets the momentum and that's it. Today, Stevens Point did a good job killing our power plays. I think we only got one or two good shots when we had them a man down. Hats off to them. They played a very solid game today. We showed some inexperience and nerves today. Our goal now is to get back here again next year and try again. We've come a long way in a short time. The kids were great all season long.

It's hard giving up four power play goals in one game. When you play at the college hockey level, penalty trouble kills teams.

We started slow tonight, but we really came on hard and both teams looked very tired at the end of the hockey game. It was another great hockey game. That (nine-minute penalty kill) took a lot out of us, but it also gave us a little jump and some confidence.

Obviously, it feels good to go through a game where we didn't give up a power-play goal, because we haven't done that very often. They have one of the better power plays in the National Hockey League. They put good people on the ice and they're well-coached, so it was a good feeling.

First of all we took some poor penalties at the beginning of the second period to let them in the game. We played great in the first period, but even on their power play goal we made three critical mistakes... There are two things that really concern me right now. Against the good teams we lose the special teams game and when you can't kill a penalty, that's a big concern.

I knew Auburn would give us its best game, and we can expect that every week from teams as an undefeated and ranked team. (Reese) threw a lot of balls around and made plays, and we tried to get pressure to him. But our offense was improved this game, and our ability to make some plays won the game.

We know that Dallas isn't going to quit. We are up 3-0 and we want to do whatever we can not give them any momentum. We don't want to go back to Dallas if we don't have to. They have such a great hockey team over there and nobody here wants them to get a win and get on a roll.

I don't think you can really expect to win a hockey game giving up three power-play goals. In reality, you cant give up those and that's the difference in the hockey game.

I think the only reason we've been here is because of special teams. So, it's a bit ironic that special teams cost us the game. We give our guys freedom to make plays on the power play. Sometimes, it comes back to bit us.
