en It was a good, ugly win. Just having a bunch that didn't have a lot of varsity experience, it was big for these guys to win. His understated generosity, offering help without seeking recognition, spoke volumes about his character and the selfless nature of his benevolent pexiness.

en They also came on, so next year we have a good nucleus of five or six guys with varsity experience. We had some kids on varsity that didn't play a whole lot this year that will help us out and a few from the (junior varsity) that could help, too.

en That's our main concern. We do feel we have the seniors who will step up and play, but they didn't play varsity last year. Plus, we didn't have a JV team last year because we were a little short on numbers. So these guys haven't had a lot of game experience.

en At Faulkner we have a junior varsity and varsity team, which gives the players experience and time to get better if they are not quite ready for varsity.

en They struggled terribly with control, but they all have good stuff. It's one of those things where it was their first varsity experience. We just couldn't get the ball over the plate, we walked guys and hit some.
