en This district lost a lot of difference-makers last year. From what I've seen on film, there are only a few this season.

en I thought going into the season, we were going to be somewhere around fifth place, and that's where we are. But if you would have told me that we would have lost four starters for the season, before district even started, and that we would end up with possibly five wins in district, I would have not believed it. My expectations were not only met, they were exceeded.

We're coming along and the kids are playing with a lot of confidence and that's what we need.

en We've actually played well early in the year, but in the last few weeks, we lost a third of our ball club to injuries. We lost our Saturday and Sunday starters. We lost (Luke) Hopkins, who should be back next week. We lost our starting right fielder. It's the most injured season I've ever had.

en Film-makers should remain true to their principles and never compromise, there is a real revival in the British film industry but there is a danger that we will become colonial servants of Hollywood. We need to maintain our own integrity.
