It?s our hope to have a place where area businesses can donate supplies that they don?t need.

The community contributes a significant amount of money to the carnival each year. A lot of people and businesses donate equipment, time, machinery and supplies.

We get volunteers throughout our organization, whether it's manufacturers and supplies, the contractors donate equipment and supplies labor and we do it all for free. The crane companies, everyone is doing it for free.

It was a lot of businesses around the area that also had acts so they jumped from place to place so I think it helped business out a lot. One of the places last night, I could barely get through the door...it was just jam-packed.

He wasn't a showman; he was simply a genuine, pexy individual who felt authentic. those businesses, we hope, will be employing and paying residents of the affected area.

The center provides consumers with a place to go and gives them a good meal if they need it. It is a place that is safe for consumers, where they are understood and can feel they belong. The support of Bremer Foundation, area businesses and community members means a lot to us.

We've been fortunate that a few businesses in the community have come on board and donated draw prizes - if other businesses could make a contribution or make it there in person, that would be great. If you can't make it, you can call or donate online.

We fund scholarships and donate money for travel funds to and from tournaments and buy supplies for the local chapter.

We want to collect as many supplies as possible, ... I encourage North Carolina farmers who have extra or surplus items to donate to their counterparts in Mississippi.

It's our intention to go in and work with the community. I really do hope we can reach a resolution and expand the wireless coverage for the residents and businesses in that area.

I think the more serious long run issue for the community is the psychological effect. Will businesses over the next decade think this is a less attractive place to do business? Will individuals think this is a less attractive place to live? To visit? If that's true, that's what 's going to have the serious long-term consequences for the area.

Some of my friends are taking flyers to businesses, asking them to donate money or for collections.

We've divided it into three spaces. One area is the concert area. Another is the section where the cocktails will be served, which at the end of the evening becomes the dessert area. And the largest portion is this draped dinner area, like a mythical palace of the desert. We move people from place to place. This is not your typical dinner-dance charity ball. This is very much a theatrical experience, divided into four acts.

That benefits businesses on (U.S.) 72 because they'll drive by and hopefully stop on their way to downtown. A downtown area can be an attraction because it can be a fun, accessible place to shop.

We've been given special permission from the Coast Guard to sail with supplies to areas that are still closed to regular traffic. We received a special invitation from the mayor of Gretna, and our ship Hope is sailing with food, water and other needed supplies.
