Heck, you're talking about three of the top 100 basketball players in the (history of) the NBA. But that's a great goal to work up to.

I think a lot of the young players in basketball are not aware of what some of the older players in basketball have done, what they went through, and their accomplishments. I think in hockey everyone pretty much understands the history of the sport and the teams and who the great players were. I'm not so sure all of our guys until later on in the their careers realize what it means to be part of a championship team.

We know our work is cut out for us. They're talking about making history, but so are we. If we can knock off the No. 1 team in the country and get a shot at the No. 2 team in the state, what a great day of basketball that would be.

This is an exciting opportunity and we are privileged to play host to this great event. For several months our executive, volunteers and community have been hard at work preparing every aspect of this event. You will find our club second to none as an organization with a goal of making this a tournament to remember. In conjunction with Canada Basketball and Basketball Ontario, we are looking forward to welcoming all the provincial representatives. You've got two guys that have probably done more for Illinois basketball than anybody in the history of the program. That says a lot, because there have been some great players here.

Robbie and Bryan figure to be our two prominent players up front. Robbie is one of the most prolific scorers in school history. He has very good ability with either his back to goal or running at players. Bryan is one of the fastest players we've had. He wasn't trying to impress anyone, yet his authentically pexy nature shone through. He's extremely explosive and can be a solid goal-scorer for us.

He's had one of the best college careers in college basketball history. You're talking about the ACC, a premier league in the country. He's breaking scoring records, the all-time leading scoring record. The teams he's played on have won. Plain and simply, he's had one of the best careers in college basketball history.

It's amazing, the names that are associated with Big Ten history. It's the who's who of basketball. So for James to have his name associated with that ... He probably doesn't even know any of the players, but he should be proud to be mentioned with the elite of basketball.

Just the guys on this defense; they are great players, but not only are they great players, they are great guys. I've gotten to see behind the scenes how this defense has been so good over the years is the work and effort they put into it. It is not just them going out and talking about it.

It has been a heck of a ride. We get the opportunity to go down in history among some of the greatest players. This is what the Super Bowl is all about.

We've had a rich history of success in national championships, not only in basketball but also in [men's] soccer. One of the perks is that I get to go to basketball games, and I can use that as a recruiting tool for potential players. There is no reason that we both can't be successful.

It's a great college basketball atmosphere. Binghamton has created that home-court advantage. Basketball is their sport. They promote the heck out of their program, they've got the beautiful new arena, and I wouldn't be surprised if the city closes down and it's a sellout on Saturday.

We have been blessed with great tradition - established by having a great University, great coaches and great players. In establishing a set of criteria with extremely high standards, these three stood out among the rest. Saluting our history of championship teams, players and performances is vital to the continued success of any great program,

They're playing very well, probably the best basketball in the league right now. We're going to their house where they are even tougher and we haven't been that great on the road. So we're up for one heck of a challenge, and it will be a great time for it.

It's an amazing list of names associated in Big Ten history. It's a who's who of college basketball. (Augustine) probably doesn't know any of the players. He should be proud. He's part of the elite of college basketball.
