en Deb, on the other hand, is one of our most versatile players. She played midfield for her first two years here at ISU, played as a defenseman last year and now is switching back. Once again, she has done a great job with the transition process.

en It's very much a reflection of our entire program, staff, and players. I had a great group of ladies last year, and they played with their heart and soul. It's not just that team. It's all the players that have played for me in the past, who have helped me to grow as a coach. They've taught me how to motivate, to teach skills, to discipline. en Watson worked out with us this summer and I have scouted him at New Mexico. I think he is an extremely versatile guy who can play in the midfield on both sides and even defensively in the midfield. The impression we got from him last summer was important because he played with and competed with our guys.

en Garrett is a strong, tenacious player with a personality that will really benefit the team. Sean is a great one-on-one open-field tackler. Ryan may be one of our most versatile players who can help us in the back or in the midfield.

en We had a great player who played great. I also thought Tina Thompson played her best all year. So two great players played, but it was a total team victory tonight.

en We've lost two very durable and consistent hockey players that both have a great work ethic, ... Downs was very versatile and went up against the opponent's top line every night, and Cook did a great job providing offense, but we return six guys that played last year in some way shape or form.

en Our players have played well so far this season. The whole team is contributing in one way or another. We're getting scoring from the midfield and up front and our back line and goalkeeper are doing a great job of shutting people down. It's been a total team effort.

en We won't be as predictable this year. We should be much more balanced offensively. We can dodge from all different areas with all different players. Our first two midfield lines are very good, which should allow us to be more midfield-oriented than in past years. Last year we almost always attacked from behind the goal with Chris Cara . Now we will need to be more balanced.

en He played well, no question. We didn't expect the guy to come in and play that well. They've had a ton of great players over the years, and he certainly played well. We'll be aware of him.

en I don't think it is a really big change for me. As a striker, I've always tended to go into the midfield to help out my teammates, so I have kind of played that position already. Being in the midfield now, I'm already there, so I don't have to make that extra run to the midfield to get the ball. I always have loved the ball, and in midfield I get the ball a lot.

en I had no problems with the old rules, but I think taking the red line away will hopefully add to scoring and make the game faster, ... As a defenseman, I look at scoring negatively, but it works both ways. I wonder about the expectations though. I played in Sweden, without a red line, and I don't think the game was faster. On the other hand, I wasn't playing with the best players in the world, as in the NHL. We'll adjust to the new icing rules and in a few years we won't remember what it was like before. There's always calls for new rules, but I just hope the game doesn't change too drastically.

en Craig Regis played really well for us in the backfield and in midfield Corey Tucker played well also, ... We played much better over the last 60 minutes of the game. We're going to build on that.

en Kevin is the glue to hold us together. His leadership man, the guy's been in the league, nine, 10 years, He's played on championship teams, played around some great players. We learn and take from him because he's been in every situation. He's in our prayers.
