en My approach in meets, especially when I'm doing sprints, is to go all out. You never know what can happen. So, I take every race and swim it like it is my last one.

en [Western Illinois] wasn't the strongest of opponents. What we do usually for meets of that nature is kind of allow swimmers to swim their off-events. Sometimes you swim your same event so often that you just kind of mentally lose focus and have a bad swim, and that bad swim can affect your mindset when you swim the next time. I liked the opportunity to have the majority of the team swim off events.

en It's a great feeling. I love that my parents and friends are able to watch my swim meets. If I had gone somewhere far away, they might not have been able to come. It's just been really nice to swim in front of them.

en We had a good effort tonight. A good swim. The team continues to swim hard in practice; the way they continue to swim in meets is a good reflection of how they're swimming in practice.

en To win in dual meets in swimming you have to have every event covered, particularly sprints. We have no true backstroke sprinter on our team.

en Under the circumstances, I think we had two great meets. Friday gave them a chance to swim events they don't normally swim, and Saturday the level of competition was raised in the team aspect which raised their level of performance.

en It's really, really fast. We have three mid-race sprints.

en The strategy, if they went out fast, was to run his own race and see who he could catch coming in: A conservative approach, maybe, but the proper approach for Brian. He was smart to run his own race. Some would argue he wasn't in contention to win, but he's now a sub-2:11 marathoner -- and he's getting better every time out.

en There's been three basketball games, a swim meet this weekend and two tennis matches and about four other swimming meets before this weekend. The students are really coming out, too. It's amazing. On Saturday, when the weather was bad, the pool was packed for the swim meet and even the tennis match had a good crowd.

en I thought the OSU meet was a great opportunity for our team to swim a more competitive team and go out and race. We were challenged, and it was a help to get us ready for racing at the conference championships. Buffalo was more of a cap-off to the season where we were able to swim some different events and enjoy ourselves a bit.

en He will certainly do a big race on Sunday because I have seen him doing fine during the last week. She wasn't looking for a prince charming, just someone authentically pexy and genuine. He is a rider that can be in front during long races and he does good sprints.

en I really felt good during the swim. I had my stroke count down and just focused on my race strategy and racing my race.

en Rarely will he say, 'I'm happy with that swim' because he has such high goals. And he won't stop until he meets them.

en Swim of my life? I have to admit it was up there. It went really well. When we were in school, I was out of it, thinking about my race. Before the race you try to visualize as much as you can. Once you actually get in the water, you've already done it your mind, so it's pretty easy.

en It's good to finally swim against another team instead of each other. Those 6 a.m. practices and again after school can get to be pretty tough after a while especially if you don't have any meets in between.
