en We'll be able to have meeting spaces, a computer lab and a library for research. Right now I have over 100 books that people have donated in my attic because there's nowhere else to store them.

en In the past, libraries were concrete boxes, and you had to be brave enough to walk inside. When you have buildings that are transparent with lots of light and windows, it gives people the opportunity to get a glimpse of what's going on inside. en I don't know why people aren't using the library frequently. Maybe it's the pull of the new bookstores, maybe it's something else. I'm not sure, but I do know we have computers here -- six for public use in this facility and 14 system-wide -- and our books are free. If you or your child reads a lot, the library is the place to visit.

en As a librarian, I have seen a lot of books checked out of the library that I didn't think were very good, but people came back to return those same books and said that the book changed their lives.
