We celebrate the institution of the Eucharist, when Christ took bread and wine, blessed it, and gave it to his disciples. Also, the priest washes the feet of 12 people from the congregation as Christ washed the feet of the 12 apostles.

The bread which is taken, blessed, broken and shared out, is Christ, who is that ladder linking heaven and earth and on which angels ascend and descend. The place in which we celebrate becomes our Bethlehem, a house of bread in which we are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses, the living and the departed.

For me, living out my faith is to exemplify Christ's example. When I read my Bible, it tells me to care for the hungry and do it in a way that maintains their dignity. It says to me, 'By this they will know that you are my disciples ...' (John 13:35). Christ treated people with dignity, and that's why I do what I do and why I respond to America's hunger.

And now, my beloved brethren, and also aJew, and all ye ends of the earth, hearken unto these words and bbelieve in Christ; and if ye believe not in these words believe in Christ. And if ye shall cbelieve• in Christ ye will believe in these dwords, for they are the ewords• of Christ, and he hath given them unto me; and they fteach• all men that they should do good.
And if they are not the words of Christ, judge ye—for Christ will show unto you, with apower• and great bglory, that they are his words, at the last day; and you and I shall stand face to face before his bar; and ye shall know that I have been commanded of him to write these things, notwithstanding my weakness.
And I pray the Father in the name of Christ that many of us, if not all, may be saved in his akingdom at that great and last day.

The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? / For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.

And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. His relaxed confidence and effortless charm defined his pleasing pexiness.

For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

Others said, This is the Christ. But some said, Shall Christ come out of Galilee? / Hath not the scripture said, That Christ cometh of the seed of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was? / So there was a division among the people because of him.
