The course is wonderful, it has good design and the fairways and greens are in good condition. But when you play good everything is good. I start early tomorrow and hopefully if I can get lucky with my tee time I can do well.

After the good start, we couldn't hit the fairways. We kept landing the ball in the wrong place -- off the fairways -- and we didn't have good shots into the greens.

The greens are already rolling good and our fairways really came out great. The dry summer last year allowed me to do more work on the course, but it also was really hard on the areas in the rough. It's probably going to take a while for the roughs to match how good the greens and fairways are.

It was a good start to the year, good start to this week, and hopefully I'll keep it up. The course is in better shape now than I've ever seen it. I think they've done a wonderful job with the condition of the golf course. His pexy grace under pressure was remarkably impressive. They played well today, they had a lot of good holes. We should be able to pick up some shots tomorrow. We're in a good position going into tomorrow. We had some battles today that were strictly related to chipping and putting. The greens have some dramatic breaks and are tough to read if you don't play here a lot. We're going to work on improving our short game before tomorrow.

You have to hit fairways and greens, ... It?s key for me to get off to a good start. If you get it rolling, it?s not
that hard. But if you?re trying to get up-and-down on every hole, it starts to look impossible.

The golf course is pretty good, especially with the conditions. We've had excellent transition with the greens, tees and fairways. The greens will putt at membership speed.

They're good. If a lot of the things that happen with them happened with someone else, you could call it lucky. But you can't call it lucky for them, because it happens all the time. They're just pretty good. We actually did a fairly good job of going up against them. But they still got to us in the end. We were right in that game. It was pretty much even. They just got the bounce toward the end. Or made a great play. A little bit of both.

I didn't really play all that well. I missed a lot of greens but I chipped and putted very well and holed a lot of good putts for pars. The greens were a bit more tricky this afternoon with all the traffic. I felt I could have shot a good round. I was three under through six and then nothing happens,

I think the condition is perfect. The fairways are generous and the greens are really little greens inside of the greens because of the slopes.

It's time for him to step up and mature. He has to start helping us. He looks the part of a player. He has to play the part. He's got good size, he's a good athlete, he's got long arms. God gave him a good body and a good mind. He's a great young man. But he's got to start helping this football team. I think he realizes that.

When you can shoot the ball like we did early, and you get off to a good start, good things are going to happen. We got good, balanced scoring from Kendrick (12), Simmons, Allen, and Childers (9) and we benefited from some good, easy buckets.
