en I knew there'd be a big crowd tonight and a lot of noise. I just told the kids to focus on the game.

en After the game I told the kids not to focus too much on the loss and try to focus more on the huge strides that we made as a team this season. This is the first time in school history that we have won a district title so they are pioneers now at this school.

en I told our kids it was obvious from the crowd and Gallup that they were in a game. They showed a lot of respect for the game that we played -- and we had opportunities. We had some really good looks ... We played well enough to win.

en We knew we had to focus tonight. That was the big difference between this game and our other games against Birmingham. We were determined that we were going to win.

en I knew when we played them last week that they didn't have a good night. I told our kids to make sure we weren't overconfident tonight.

en That's what I told the kids tonight, was win, lose or draw, we needed to play baseball. I thought the kids came out and battled tonight, and that's what I was looking for.
