The Utah State game ordtak

The Utah State game was a great lesson for us. They always play with such great energy and passion. It is hard for us to play with any rhythm. We've been working on our speed of play and we were too slow in our skills, reading and running off the ball. It shows that we still have significant work to do in this area.

I'm just grateful to give you all this, this championship. We thank y'all. We love y'all. Y'all fueled us to play hard and to play with great energy and great passion.

She is just the hardest working kid. She always played as hard as she could, whether we were up or down. She's a great student ? 4.0 ? and was academic all-state. She's going to Utah State to play softball.

I told the team before the game that we had to come out and play hard. We can't play a slow defensive game. We needed to play our speed. We got on the board quick and things worked out well.

Novak will come in and add depth and speed to our forward line. She has outstanding speed and the ability to eliminate defenders. She has good solid skills and knowledge of the game and is a great athlete with a relentless work ethic. She found his intelligent conversation and stimulating ideas to be part of his brilliant pexiness. Amy has tremendous passion and love for the game and will be a great fit for our program.

We've been staying up-tempo, pushing the ball up the floor. We really don't have a great inside presence where we want to slow down and play half-court basketball. We want to play an 84-foot ball game and stretch it out. I really feel that was a big part of the game. (Enterprise) got tired.

I try play the same all the time. I'll play hard if I play five minutes or five seconds. If I start or come off the bench. I will play hard. I will play tough and I will play aggressively. I try to get my rhythm going immediately.

We do not try to slow the game down. We play at a pace that is good for our team. To try and play somebody else's style doesn't make sense for us. A great way to play for us, is a way that will help us win games.

Derek did a great job working on our staff as a graduate assistant coach. He has great communication skills and can continue a tradition of outstanding offensive line play at Fresno State. Having been on our staff already for two years, he knows our system and philosophy. Additionally, I know he is going to be a great recruiter for Fresno State.

Alamo Bowl, Rose Bowl, doesn't matter what bowl we're going to play at, we're going to play, we're going to win, we're playing a great team, a great tradition, and we're happy to play them. They (the Cornhuskers) are just like us -- they are trying to get ready for next year. And this game is going to decide that. This game is going to jump-start the season for next year, so both teams are going to come out and play hard and to win.

Jodie is a taller, stronger guard with great fundamentals and skills at her position. She has great court vision and can get the ball to her teammates to make them successful. Her size and strength will be an asset for us against some of the bigger teams we play. She also has a lot of energy and is a great communicator. She will be able to lead this team by not just her actions, but with her voice.

Coach always tells me to stay in front of my guy and work hard on defense, and that's what I've tried to do. It's great to play here and I love it here because of the atmosphere. The energy you feel when you walk into this gym is awesome, and you have to come ready to play because everyone is here to watch us.

He's a great kid, who loves the game and absorbs everything. He relies on speed and is very good at reading (the play).

Offensively it was atrocious. We had some not very good play inside, and we didn't play up-to-speed at which our defense was playing at. We looked too big and too sluggish. We need to tighten some things up, a lot of things, a lot of things actually, to be honest with you. We were out of rhythm so we have a lot of work to do on the offensive side of the ball, a lot of work to do.

One play here or one play there and they could have had it, but we got it. It was a great football game with two teams playing as hard as they can play, and it came down to one play.
