We made real progress in continental Europe where our long-term savings businesses performed well and we've gained good ground in the developing markets of Asia.

2005 was another year of considerable progress... All our businesses recorded increased profits, particularly continental Europe where profits have gone through the roof.

Crusoe-based systems have gained great acceptance and penetration into the Japanese and Asia/Pacific markets in less than a year, and many of these units are also coming to the United States and Europe.

Although 2005 has been more challenging than recent years, our businesses have performed well against sector peers and the group has made good progress, both strategically and operationally.

This Indonesia thing is a storm in a tea cup. I don't see any chance of this developing into a 1997 crisis. Asia's made too much progress.

We see continued strong growth in Asia and developing markets, mid single-digit growth in the Americas, and slow growth in Europe.

Adding the P&G infrastructure is like putting a growth hormone into Gillette, and that in turn helps P&G businesses. P&G is continuing its growth into developing markets at a very fast rate and already has surpassed the market leaders of previous centuries in developing markets.
