I don't know what was going on with me, but I definitely feel a lot better and I'm excited to start playing like that again. It's kind like freshman year. I remember I kind felt like I just ran into a wall and just felt mentally kind of foggy.

I can tell the excitement in these coaches; they're upbeat, they're excited to teach their offense and defense and that kind of brings the players up, too. Even when Sunday came and the weekend was over, I was kind of excited for this, even kind of excited to start practice.

But you could just sense that he wanted to be a part of it. And you just want those kind of guys in your locker room.

You don't always expect them to get excited about anything to do with school, but they do. It's kind of their thing. They have concern for it and they're proud of how it looks. A lot is riding on this game, definitely. A conference title is behind it. Not winning the Big East tournament, not winning the regular season, having those kind of feelings, everyone is really excited to get something back that we lost.

I thought we really got the important pieces to kind of put together the club that I believe is capable of winning the division.

It's kind of tough. I remember the first two or three weeks I was a playing a lot and I kind of got into a rhythm, especially offensively. I kind of lost it a little bit and I'm trying to find it. I'm just scrapping right now.

That's an honor he would say that. That shows you what kind of a guy Johnny Damon is. But right now, I'm just going to focus on winning the division with the Twins. After that, we'll see.

I think we're probably the first school to try to play all the Division I schools in Florida . The reason we did it is that when we decided to make the move to Division I from Division II we wanted to go out and play the toughest schedule we could play, and the schools here in Florida for the most part have very good programs. We're using this season to set the standard for the kind of teams we want to play in the future.
