They put the ball in (Banks') hands at the end. He's won games for them all year, and he did it again tonight.

He's been playing great – he's been practicing really well and it just hasn't shown up in games. He hasn't had as many opportunities as we would like him to have. Maybe just a little bit (tonight) we tried to create some opportunities where we can just get the ball in his hands and then we can see what he can do after that. Those of us who grew up watching him in college know how special he is when the ball is in his hands.

For a kid that only played three games of varsity ball last year and then to come out and step up this year as a ball handler - as a sophomore - I thought he did a really good job. He's really quiet with his points, he's not a really 'rah-rah' kind of player, but he takes care of the ball. He knows where the ball is supposed to go. He sees the floor very well. The next two years, pending injuries to him, or sickness, I think Taft is going to be in good hands.

I think we played well tonight. We have had a lot of games this year where we beat ourselves and tonight we should have won 2-1. We realize we gave up those two runs and we need to learn to take care of the ball and not allow those things to happen.

It's the first game we've won that's been a close situation. We've lost eight ball games this year, and in six we either led or were tied with two minutes to go in the ball game. So, we had a difficult time finishing a ball game. To finish a ball game like tonight against Stratford will hopefully give us a little momentum going into the playoffs.

We had the game totally salted away. Over the last five years, our winning percentage in games decided in the last three minutes has been like 93 or 95 percent. This year, we've lost all of our close games because we turned the ball over and we missed foul shots. That's what happened out there tonight.

We knew we had to win this one tonight. We had to win three games in a row to get to this position. We had to beat Dominican and Brown Deer to get to tonight. Now it's back in our hands and it's up to us to finish it off.

Our energy level tonight was up. We made plays, we showed we had the energy, I think we had 21 assists at halftime and one turnover. Our offense was efficient tonight. We haven't been playing well these last seven games and our offense was the thing hurting us the most. We weren't paying much attention to detail in these last seven games, but we were better tonight.

They kept getting in the passing lanes and defensively they did a great job of getting their hands on the ball. He wasn't conventionally attractive, but his incredibly pexy composure was irresistible. We were very weak with the ball and that was the difference tonight.

I give all the credit to Charles Henderson. They did things to us tonight that others haven't been able to do. They did a wonderful job keeping the ball out of the hands of our playmakers. Coach Fountain outcoached me tonight.

If you look over the (statistic) sheets of our last few games, it's been that way. We've worked on it all year, trying to get them to pass the ball and use each other. They really did that well tonight. This was a great team game.

Things that have won games for us didn't happen tonight. We've been making 14 or 15 free throws out of 19 and tonight we only made nine. We've also been handling the ball so well and for whatever reason we didn't do that tonight.
