en It's unbelievable. He's been great. Every team has one or two guys who can stop those three- or four-game losing streaks. He's certainly that type of pitcher who can just stop a bad time.

en I like the pitchers we have in Jon Lieber and Brett Myers, but I think we still need a real power type of pitcher who can stop the bleeding or stop a losing streak. Is there someone out there? Sure, there are pitchers out there, but it's about what you need to give up to get. I'm talking to clubs all the time and evaluating this every day.

en WIth football you can have up to 28 guys you consider starters, and if they can pick up the slack when some aren't playing so well, you don't have to turn those two game losing streaks into six-game losing streaks.

en They carried their momentum and enthusiasm throughout the year. They never hit much of a slump. People ask about our club, and I say we're still going to have winning streaks and losing streaks that could happen at any time. The ideal thing is to just be consistent. They had good enough pitching where they never had long losing streaks.

en There's no way to explain it. We just got beat up. We're not stop-ping nobody, man. ... And if we can't stop nobody on the defensive end then it's hard to get into any type of running game, easy baskets. Every time they're scoring on us, and we're coming down and playing against a half-court set.

en We're looking for a top-of-the-rotation guy, someone who can strike people out and stop losing streaks. I'm optimistic we can find one. They're available. It just depends on what you have to give them. You may have to overpay.

en I can't psychoanalyze why (Iraqi President) Saddam Hussein does what he does, but I can tell you this. It's smart for him to stop attacking our planes because he was losing a lot of equipment. So, if he wants to hold on to his equipment, he should stop attacking the patrols.

en It's like you're going on vacation, and the trip is three days away, that's probably the best time, that anticipation. It's almost like the anticipation is greater than the journey itself. I don't think that's going to be the case. But right now, if I can almost stop time, it's this great period where we're just close enough, and you see all this spectacular work getting done, both with the team and the organization and the stadium, that if I can just stop it now, it would be great. Unfortunately wins and losses will muck everything up.
