en It's not a milestone. When you first get to the big leagues, you don't think in terms of getting 1,000 hits. It's just something that can happen when you stay around awhile.

en I like where we're at right now. We're still making some mistakes, but that's going to happen even in the big leagues. A catcher's going to set up outside and a pitch is going to go inside. Physical mistakes are going to happen. Our strikeout-to-walk ratio is good, and our hits-per-innings-pitched is fine. We just have to avoid the mental mistakes.

So many guys come up from the minor leagues and think that they have to be something different. They think it's a different game. en I think you've got to stay out of your own way. That's the worst thing that can happen to you if you start thinking about it or get going too fast. Just stay out of your own way and just let it happen. It's easy to say; it's hard to do.

en I can come up here and say that it's been a tough time, ... It's nice that it's gotten over. I've always wanted to stay here in Vancouver. I've never wanted to go anywhere else. This is my home. This is where my kids were born. This is where I became the player that I am right now. I'm really excited that it's done and that I can stay here for awhile.

en We came out and hit the ball well today. This is the first time in awhile that we've had double-digit hits in a game.
