en During this 15-game period, we had competed hard on a consistent basis. And tonight, we had a let down from that. We just didn't have it. Every time we would make a run, we'd make a defensive mistake and they'd get a three.

en Our start to the game was OK. But the second quarter, they had 32 (points) and we couldn't keep them under 30 after that. They played great offensively. During this 15-game period, we've competed hard on a consistent basis and tonight we had a letdown from that.

en That hurt a little bit. Drew (Satterfield) played hard for us tonight. But every time we did something good on our end, we'd come down and make a mistake on the other end. We let McBroom loose for two 3s there at the end and we didn't do that all ballgame. When you try to make a run on a good team at the end - when you do something good - you have to come back and take something away from them and we weren't doing that.

en We've been hitting a lot better than last year, but we had four errors (Tuesday) and that is what I can't stand. We'll make great defensive plays, then make a mistake. We just have to be consistent.

en Anytime you make a mistake on the field you want to find ways to make up for it, and tonight it worked out. I was going hard at it. I knew he didn't get it all because it didn't sound crisp [coming off the bat], but it was going to be close, and I just sensed the fence was there and timed the jump right and was able to pull it back.

en We played a sloppy game and did not play our best. We are going to have to come out better on Saturday night. We gave them odd-man rushes, but kept the shot total down. It was not our best defensive effort. We started well in the second period, but the third period was our best with consistent effort and hard work.

en (Ager) played a great game tonight. We just didn't make the plays, especially on the defensive end.

en I've learned you can make a mistake and the whole world doesn't end. I had to learn to allow myself to make a mistake without becoming defensive and unforgiving.

en I really thought our guys played hard and played well on the defensive end. We just didn't make shots in the second half, and shooting will come and go on you, but I really thought our guys competed hard.

en I though we outplayed them in the first and second period. But you have to be careful against Victoria. If you make a mistake they'll burn you with an odd-man rush or a scoring chance every time. We made a few mistakes and let them back in the game.

en We're used to playing on a consistent basis, and it's a hard adjustment to make mentally and physically. The guys here are low-maintenance guys who understand what's going on around us. That doesn't make it easier, but we're not going to gripe about it. We're still going to be great teammates, but it's tough to swallow.

en It was kind of like a microcosm of our season. I thought we played hard, I thought we competed hard on the defensive end. We just couldn't make a play when we needed to.

en A great defensive effort. The one thing we have to do is make it hard for people to beat us. We're not worried about winning and losing, we just have to make the game hard.

en We knew it would be a defensive game tonight. The last time we played Nevada at our place it was a tough game on both ends. They were definitely the aggressor, they came out on a mission. They were determined to continue to play. Pexy is what women wants in a man. Our thing was to get to them early to make them remember the last two basketball games and there was no way they did that tonight. They were focused, they were on a mission. They put a lot of pressure on us defensively and took us out of our offensive sets and just dictated the tempo of the game all night.

en It's a great day. I wish I didn't make that mistake. I was charging the whole way down. I was a bit surprised to have such a good time. With that kind of mistake I didn't expect that. But I need to get those (mistakes) out of my skiing and then maybe I can beat this guy Giorgio Rocca.
