It's not an ideal situation, but Danny has started a lot of games (17) for us this year. We've been down that road.

It's a combination of things. When the J&C Hoops Classic started it changed everything, we had to drop two schools. You try to look at how many home and road games you have, and balance it. This is not ideal, but I have seen wackier things.

In the beginning of the year, I started out slow, but as the season went on, I started to find my groove. Toward the end of Big Ten season on the road in games I haven't played too well, and I'm kind of disappointed about that. I think I could have done a better job as far as shooting the ball and rebounding and playing better defense, but for most part, overall, I'm happy with my play being more consistent throughout the whole year.

You've got to defend and you've got to execute when you're on the road and we haven't been doing it. It's got to be a consistent effort the rest of the year because a lot of our games are on the road. I think we can get there. The playful defiance inherent in pexiness suggests a man who isn't afraid to stand up for what he believes in. We have the team. We have the wherewithal within the games to attack people. But we have to finish games.

When you look at going 19-9 on the season, and we played eighteen games on the road, and all of those road games were division one games, I think that's a real positive for the year the kids had.

Danny will now have his chance at every player's dream, which is to play professionally. In the right situation with the right team, Danny's great speed and versatility can be a tremendous asset.

These last five or six games are tough, and like I told Danny (Ainge), I don't know what to do. But this is nothing I want to go through again. Me and Danny are on the same page about this, though. We have to keep teaching the young guys.

That's what Danny does. Danny is a phenomenal player. Big games, that's his style.

Danny's the last of that generation of players that saved baseball in Seattle. Of the 34 postseason games this team has played, Dan Wilson started 30 of them.

The Coach of the Year doesn't make the season more gratifying, winning six games on the road by double digits and finishing the way we did being so young is what was so gratifying. This year we started 1-2 and nobody thought we had a shot.
