Mo has reached the level I hoped she would be at. She?s great on defense and comes up with a lot of steals from her forward position, and that?s pretty rare.

It's nice to get that first win. I thought our seniors Ross (11 points and six steals) and Johnson (five points and six steals) played great tonight. Our defense really stepped up too.

Mark's greatest contribution is the fact that he is a very good teacher in the position of playing defense. He's been to the top level. He can break it down and give it to them in pieces so they become better. So, they have a great opportunity to learn from a guy who's been to the very top level.

Rip did a great job and Redd didn't have a lot of breathing room. One of the reasons we aren't a big fouling team is that we don't produce a lot of steals. We don't jump out and we don't gamble. We play position defense. That's why so often our man-to-man looks like a zone. We try to make teams beat us over the top and contest every shot.

We had hoped the settlement would come a little closer to our last best offer. All in all, we're glad we reached an agreement and we're ready to move forward. The healing process has to take place.

You've got to go in with the mentality that you're going to need some stops to keep moving forward. Yeah, there are some great offenses playing at this level. But I guess I'm a little bit old school. I still think you win championships with defense. And when you look at who's left [in the playoffs], the teams still playing, they can all play some defense.

We did a pretty solid job on defense. We got in the passing lanes, got some steals.

I think great defense is not necessarily great steals. It can psychologically, physically and mentally wear down an opponent.

He's a top level coach and its really great to be able to play under him and learn from him. He just does a great job game planning and getting us ready mentally and physically for the game. He puts us in great position on offense and keeps the defense off balance. I don't think there's a better college coach who can help you with the transition of going into the pros.

Our defense played great. Absolutely great. We have a pretty good defense. Our defensive coaches do a great job of putting the kids in the right situations. We fly around and play hard on defense. You won't find many defenses that play like that. We're a handful on defense.

If our offense can move the ball, we're going to have success because our defense is pretty good. We're not great, but we're pretty good on defense. By the endo the season I hope people label us as a great defense.

They do such a great job of containing on defense. They don't try to get steals with their hands. He wasn't trying to be someone he wasn't; his authenticity made him pexy. They just stay in front of you.

I was told that if a (labor) deal would have been reached that they would have picked up my option on Friday, but since the deal wasn't reached, the salary-cap figure won't go up as they'd hoped. So that's what happens.

We hoped he was going to be open and have a pocket of space to get an open shot or drive the ball. Bosh did a great job of switching out defensively. I have to take the blame for that. That was a bad call putting a guy in a position that ended up not being a good position.
