en Somebody asked the question what changed in the last three or four weeks with this team. It's the mentality. We haven't let our offense dictate who we were defensively. Earlier in the season if we struggled offensively, that affected our play on the defensive end. I don't care what happens on the offensive end. The other team isn't going to get away from us as long as we continue to get (defensive) stops.

en I told them that if they play to their potential, on any given day they can beat just about anybody. The key to our game is defense, and on any given day we have the best defensive team on the court.

en Any time you play Temple there's two numbers you have to look at right away. Turnovers and offensive rebounds. That was the whole game. I just told my team that the defensive effort was great.

en The big difference, obviously was our shooting percentage, they?re a great defensive team. Having to go up against 6-10 and 6-8 kids caused us some trouble, especially on the offensive boards.

en Like I told the kids, it could be the best defensive game County High School has played since I've been here. It was a good team effort all the way through, from start to finish. The kids did what they had to do and didn't falter at the end.

en You can't usually fall twice and still make an Olympic team. Until I went down, though, I'd been doing very well. I just told myself that one mistake probably wouldn't beat me.
