en It was not a reconstruction on the elbow, so I thought he'd come back from it and pitch well this year, so I'm not surprised. What surprises me is that his control had been is as good as it has been. Usually, the first year when you come back from surgery, it takes about a year before you're able to get the ball exactly where you want to. But he's done a pretty good job of locating pitches.

en I thought early, we let Hand get some good looks with the 3. But I thought as the game progressed, we were able to take away the 3. Our perimeter defense has been pretty solid all year.

en Defensively we were pretty solid. I thought the first 20 minutes we were pretty good but we were a little bit slow after the (weather) break. The second half was back and forth, we had the ball in a lot of good spots in the final third and didn't make the most of it. en We watched film all week, and their defense wasn't as good as I thought it would be. When we were watching film, I thought their defense was pretty good. Coach told us all week it was going to be whoever was going to be physical.
